I am really curious when Inuyasha decided Kagome was the one "he really wanted?" In the past, he always seemed so obsessed with Kikyou and would drop everything to chase after any rumor of her whereabouts.

Also, this is very Freudian of me, but I noticed after rereading Young Inu's memory that the female demon that was his abusive caretaker also had black hair and blue eyes like Kagome and Kikyou (Sometimes, she's portrayed with dark grey or brown eyes to separate her from Gome-chan). It just screams "Mommy Issues" to me.

There have also been fan metas about how he might have seen similarities between Kikyou, and his own mother, Izayoi. Both were young, beautiful, isolated, quiet, sad/depressed, had straight black hair (hime-cut), and were good with kids. In the anime, he even gave Kikyou the only possession he had left of Izayoi: her seashell lipstick case. Basically, I think it would make sense for a damaged guy like Inuyasha to go for women that remind him of his mom or other ladies that might have raised him after she died. Most men do this in real life tbh.

Poor inu.. he got fed wrong notions about love when he was young and it ended up sticking with him all throughout lifeYou can’t help but feel sorry for him because of what he went through. He never had the proper guidance he needed. But like always, it’s not an excuse for what one does. My heart goes out to him T-T

I really wonder what Inu-Baka was smoking in thinking that he literally could just DRAG Kagome away from Okita like it was nothing? Srsly? He didn't even try to kidnap her! He just expected that the man she was with would be totally okay with him just pulling her away! Of course, he's obsessed with Kagome so that's clouding what little judgment he. He also doesn't know anything about Okita except that he's with her now (Does he realize they are married?). He seems to view the samurai as a weakling, probably because he's fully human. Dumbass Dog-Shit is in for a rude awakening from both of our fav couple.

Yay! This story is still on! I was afraid you had abandoned it. Also, when I reread Inuyasha's parts it said one of his former aliases was Takeda. As in Shinsingumi's Takeda who hates Kagome? Whoa! Is he like Inu's son/grandson/descendant?

I am really honored that you dedicated the latest chapter of OPAH to me. It made my day. Now, that Inuyasha or "Omoikiri" as he's now known as has been introduced things are really going to get serious.

I actually was curious what his new surname (?) meant and I looked it up on Word Hippo. It said that while there are multiple meanings, the most common is "grief." I take it that's what you were going for? I also like the fact that you have had his physical appearance age to middle-age in his human disguise. He is a hanyou, so I don't think his half-human blood would allow him to stay as eternally youthful-looking as a full-blood youkai after three hundred years? Even youkai do age but at a much slower rate (ex. Myoga). He's also currently allied (I use the term loosely) with Kazama's group, but I suspected that would happen.

Maybe I am reading too much into things, but it seems like Okita was experiencing Inuyasha's dream memory with him? That might give him an advantage over the hanyou by knowing his past, but at the same time, it could trigger his own childhood trauma issues. The cold youkai woman in the dream seemed like the guardian from Hell. Not only did she insult Izayoi's memory, but she clearly installed some abusive notions about love in young and vulnerable Child Inuyasha's mind. My first thought is that she might have been Sesshoumaru's mother that was introduced in the Final Act, but I don't know? Sesshomaru's mother was eccentric and flippant, and I could see her putting up a cold and regal front, but at the same time, she also didn't seem to have any bitterness only wistfulness over Inu Taisho loving a human woman over her. In fact, she seemed glad that her own son had learned compassion towards others as his father had. She even revived Rin just to make Sesshoumaru happy.

I also think Souji is right and Kagome is currently pregnant. That's going to complicate things with the oni problem, especially that Inuyasha's back and as possessive as ever over her. Men like that do like the idea of the woman they are fixated on carrying another man's child. It's also obvious he doesn't consider Kagome and Okita's marriage relevant at all to his plans, but a baby would surely be something he couldn't ignore. My guess is that he would want the child gone and that scares me.

I love you and your works. This fic has a special place to my heart. I do hope you would update in Ao3 (the steamy scenes tho *wink wink*) anyway, i have to read this again to refresh my memory. Thank you so much for the update

Souji and Kagome as parents would be an amazing thing to see. Especially, over-protective Dad Okita. While we all know Kagome would be a Mama Bear like Momo, let's not forget that Souji would totally put all his future daughter's suitors through a ringer. He likes torturing people for fun anyway, and there's no way he'd think any guy would be good enough for his little girl! Lol

I really want Sesshoumaru and Souji to meet. Their different personalities are going to CLASH, especially since the Inu-Taiyoukai wants Kagome on the front lines, possibly even when she gets pregnant (I hope he wouldn't go that far...). They both have a tendency to rub other people the wrong way, so they will undoubtedly react to each other like oil and water.

Also, here's another important reason Souji needs to meet Sesshomaru: Fluffy-Sama is Inuyasha's older half-brother. Even though they were never close, I'm sure Sesshomaru knows where Inuyasha is now and what he is currently doing, and that's exactly the knowledge Souji wants because he plans on killing the Inu-Hanyou before he finds out Kagome in the Bakumatsu Era (and married, and about to become a mother).

Of course, I don't think Sesshomaru will support Souji's plan. Despite his bad relationship with his little brother, Inuyasha is still his family, and that kind of thing means a lot to a guy like Sesshomaru. His youkai pride probably wouldn't let some vengeful HUMAN samurai (not even a monk or priest with spiritual power) kill the only other son of the Inu Taisho. The fact Souji is Kagome's husband and he wants to end Inuyasha's life to protect her probably won't make much of a difference to him. Blood is blood, and Sesshomaru did always see youkai as superior to humans anyway.

Hope Kagome can use her healing powers since she is a miko where her powers comes from her soul not the jewel. Unless it’s change for this story.
