Ok, so I know that this fanfic hasn’t been updated for about a year, but I really wanted to write a comment. First of all I’d like to say that I absolutely love the way you write characters and theirs relationships. I imagine the marauders era almost exactly as you do and I was really excited to find someone with similar opinion. I absolutely love that you didn’t forget about James’s love for art and even developed it, I rarely see that in fics. I enjoyed reading every chapter, I literally couldn’t stop reading this masterpiece. I love that you didn’t just write the easiest plot, but put a lot of effort and thoughts in it.
I hope that you’re doing great and that you and your friends and family are happy and healthy. I would like to say that you’re an a fantastic writer and you’re doing amazing job at writing! Thank you for your hard work, it was brilliant! (My native language is not English and I’m really bad with words, but I still want to share my opinion).

I was going trough my reading list on Safari, deleting all the old and useless links I saved there the last couple of years and as I was about to delete the link to this story I thought "Well, just to be sure, check for an update" since I gave up hope long time ago. And there it was, 3 updates in the last couple of months! You cannot imagine how happy I am that you started to update again. I don't read fanfiction anymore but yours is just so amazing, as I stated countless times before, and I'm just so glad you hadn't abandoned this beautiful story you created!

As for the chapter: I must say I'm a little sad to see the James-Dorcas-Ship already sinking, I liked them a lot and I just forget all the time we're actually here for James and Lily. Well at least I hope that means that Lily will start to get a little bit more likable. Everyone else is just wonderful and I read the part of Sirius' meeting with McG multiple times since it was so heartwarming and hilarious!

So, I will come back with new hope that the next chapter will be online soon! Thank you for making my evening so much better with your writing!

I started to read your fanfic last week and I just felt like giing a whole review so far.

To be honest, I like what I'm reading , I hope you do keep up with it. In a way, I like how you have portrayed Hogwarts inter house relationships, and both the Marauders and Lily's groups. I think so far you have fell or few cliches, for instance, Sirius being attracted to men but no Remus/Sirius there is a nice change.
Perhaps your characterization of the antagonist is a bit plain. I mean, Mulciber and Avery are as plain as their son's in Harry Potter, so no complains there, but more mundane people like Pam Barnes and Eric Schnell are too easy to dislike. I think no one would endure 5 years in a boarding school being that sexist or that petty.

In regards of Lily/James, what is perhaps the main plot of almost every Marauder's Era fic, I agree with you Lily is hard to like yet, specially with her dealing with the Snape/Dorcas issue. I was going to say that I find a little too soon for Lily being jealous of James being with someone else, but I think perhaps JKR once said Lily liked James all along, being his character the main set back. Still, I find it a little forced.
On the other hand, I give you that I like how you are writing Dorcas/James. Most people tend to consider James approach to Lily as dating someone else but always comparing to Lily, or trying to being friends while still loving her before she falls for him. I like that once he got with Dorcas, stopped every reference to Lily. I know that once they break up he will ask her agains at least once (the lake scene) but from what you are implying, you might go to a route in which James just let things be after the lake, stops thinking about Lily and they kind of grow together as a result of both of them being in the same house, taking almost the same subjects and the maturing up James must undergo to be appointed Head Boy later on.

So, all in all, I think you have a promising fic, so congratulations, and again, I hope yo do keep with it

I don't know how I ended up not reviewing until now but I'm sorry for the late review! I really enjoyed getting to read about these guys again. I'm sure I've said it before, but you really have done such a wonderful job stepping into this world and expanding on all the characters.

Anyways ahh all my feels for this story are back! Especially Dorcas feels! It was a good chapter, as they always are. I look forward to the next one!
