I really enjoyed this story. I like stories with Dietrich and the Rat Patrol especially the ones when The Rats try to capture or have the Captain as a prisoner only to have him slip away at some point. You did very well with the plot of this story and keeping the characters true. Also, the story ends well without any loose plots.

another action-packed story. I was literally on the edge of my chair for the whole story. I liked Troy's and Moffitt's comments about their drivers in the "flying jeeps" As usual the guys used their teamwork to their advantage despite the obnoxious Lt Prentiss. Like Troy said -Prentiss will either grow up or be killed. The guys are always helped along by the sleepy German guards. I loved the appearance of Dietrich half way through the story which always complicates the mission. I also liked that Troy assigned Lt Prentiss to ride with Tully and Moffitt - how lucky can they get? As always , I liked all the jeep action and how Troy knew his difficult duty to keep his men safe.

Very enjoyable and interesting. I was glad to see that you avoided the predictable ending and didn't do something horrible to that annoying lieutenant. Other than proving him wrong when Dietrich escaped, of course!

Lieutenant Prentiss may have been a good fisherman, but he definitely wasn't a sniggler. (Eel fisherman) I agree with 2lieutenant. I'm glad Dietrich escaped. I liked that Troy slipped the morphine to Dietrich, and the Major's understanding of the respect the Rats had for the captain.
