I love how this is progressing. And the idea of Roy and Jessie plotting together is great. I think it would be funny if they plotted but nothing they did worked out the way they hoped, yet the results still push Luke and Lorelei together.

Very amusing basket scenes, and I love the Jessie, Roy and Dawn triangle.

How to parent trap them? Luke appears nearer to making a move, so they should plant a notion in his brain.

I like that you changed their roles but kept things like how Luke doesn't drink coffee and eat junk food. Also, I like that you decided to not have Luke be a great cook. I like that you didn't change Chris. I think that you should recreate the almost wedding for Luke and Maxine.

I think you should keep true things to the show but I wouldn't mind if you changed some things

Ugh avoid the tropes that show put us through... maybe go with Chris leaving but accidental pregnancy turning into miscarriage where luke finds her in pain, rushes her to hospital etc blah blah... come close but then he has to deal with I dunno legal stuff maybe to do with Roy's mom or something and that takes a while to process and in the mean time they are there for each other

Since Chris is Rachel, I don't think he should also be Nicole. So that's a no on the wedding thing. I always hated Lorelai and Luke getting married to anyone else, but if you're going to have her marry, it could be to Nicholas, also a lawyer. If you want him almost to marry Maxine, I get it. I didn't ever really like that they got back together and the way you broke them up already was kind of perfect. It was so tactfuland well written. I'm not sure how you'd do the yellow daisies because in the original version, Lorelai wanted to break up. So if it was Luke's idea to break up with Maxine again, then why would he turn around and propose? Or I guess she could propose to him, but then where's the romantic gesture?

Maybe if you're doing the blending thing, it could still be that lorelai gets the proposal with the daisies From Chris, but then she drives to her sister's house in NY instead. Maybe seeing her sister's condition is how she ends up taking custody of Jessie?
