I really enjoyed the story, and I think you are an amazing author. I like that you fixed this plot hole. My only issue is that it kinda takes away from Kirk's sacrifice and bravery. His choice to go into the core because why not it will be faster feels like his choice did not have the same power.

It always bothered me that Bones didn't get that moment with Kirk. I appreciate you including him in his final thoughts. I assume everything is cured by Khan's superblood.
