It's sad but I was happy for the ending. It's nice to think that Maui went to the point that he will be there for Moana when she needs someone in a time like that.

This is so sad. What happened? How did all of the villagers die? I love the raw, painful emotions. It is really well written, except for one part. The transaction between Moana's point of view under the water to Maui pulling her out is a bit weak, and I had do a double take to make sure I didn't skip over something. Otherwise, great story. Am I a horrible person for saying that Moana suffering and attempting to kill herself is a great story?
