I had to read Lamia's review first because I'm fandom blind and it helped me understand what's happening here.

All that aside, I think you did a good job with this. I like how you used the words, "Its purple skin draws in a fox", because you're naming the character without actually naming her, which makes this very poetic (sorry, my fandom blind reviews are always the worst XD).

There's a good bit of description here, saying how the juices run down her chin as she lays on the forest floor, followed by the line "A star goes dark", which is actually a beautiful way of describing her death. Much better than just outright saying that she died.

It's an interesting theory that Foxface knew what the nightlock berries were and ate them on purpose anyway because she new she wouldn't be able to win the game.

I don't remember what happened to Seneca in canon (been a long time since I read the books) but having him commit suicide through the same method as Foxface chose seems like a fitting end for him, especially since this seems to be implying some romantic connection between the two.
