Really like your story, great job. The only thing I wanted to mention was that it would be easier to read if there was a distinction between what was in the past and what was happening in present time.

First of all, I'd like to say the descriptions of the characters are pretty useful, seeing as how I'm not super familiar with the characters.

The set up seems to open up a path to lots of developments too. Poor Dean :/ He really must have been cut up about what happened for him to be put through a bit of a shock by a car. Hmm what could have happened to them...Oh and I wonder if Ellen will let Jo go for that application after all...go chase your dreeaaams.

Also being a car whisperer is kinda cool ahaha. Alright, time for chap two!
