Just curious as to what time/ age you placed Jareth as..40 year old Bowie? Fifty year old? He looked fabulous the older he got, I think!

Goodness, I'm so sorry for your family emergency. That sounds so scary - both for your dad and for you. *hugs* It certainly IS ironic. *side-eyes in suspicion*

Is it weird I thought his fear of flying would be a result of a loss of control? Jareth's character, not David. As the Goblin King he could transform into an owl, so he could fly on his own, and was therefore in complete control of it. Now, he's human, or "human" we don't know yet exactly, and forced to rely on planes for flight. Even if he can't remember his past, that loss of control and resulting fear might be ingrained in his system. Same with the hospital and Sarah's father - mortality. Jareth's "memories" of being here begin with him waking up in a hospital and not knowing anything, so, super scary. But previous to that he was, supposedly, immortal and not subject to silly things like comas. New territory, and inherently terrifying for a being that has no experience with such things. Even if he can't really remember that previous existence, there might be an internal sense of "this is wrong."

Great read - SO great to see him take on the caregiver role for Sarah and get her home. That's major brownie points for a regular boyfriend ;) Sorry to see their romantic evening get interrupted but he'll have more than earned sexcapades after all this. ;) Waiting with baited breath for more!

Poor Jareth, he's faced a lot of fears just to be there for Sarah. They both are going to be wreaks after all this. Great chapter!
