Oh, who am I kidding. This is great! This goes to show that you don't need over 10k words to produce a neat little fic to make one's morning. Personally, I would have preferred Alucard to humor the kid more by making him think he was actually the self-proclaimed demon he was before crushing his hopes entirely through a slow and painful death.
