First, thanks for sharing your story. I've enjoyed each chapter so far.

There's the inherent storyline mold built in with year 1-5 tales. Some storytellers never break free from the mold while others allow their tale fly off into the wild blue yonder. You chose a middle path - referencing the storyline from time-to-time while adding a healthy dose of your own spin into the mix. Your own spin became much more apparent in year two relative to year one.

The soul-bond storyline has been told often. I'd encourage you to keep it in your story without beating it to death, or overloaded with absurd super-powers.

The challenge with year three would be to find something interesting to write about for a handful of chapters, until you get to year four. You have Harry, Susan, Sirius and the like all well-coached and making their mark on the Wizengamot. As you do so, I'd encourage you not to overplay Dolores' role. She really doesn't make a credible threat; also it isn't apparent that Lucius actually has a seat of his own to even be in the room - more-so since he's been financially crippled.

You also have the qualified adults running the scavenger hunt. Hopefully they can make meaningful progress in a year's time. Much of that work could be off camera and reported on after-the-fact.

Your goblin library is a very interesting story thread. I hope that you continue with it as it's not a commonly used thread.

Next, you have a Dumbledore, who seemingly has awoken from the stupor of offering 300 second-chances. Hopefully he'll muzzle Snape and the slytherins once and for all and you will have the opportunity to paint a headmaster who can insist on excellence in education and boot the troublemakers - both at school and in the Wizengamot.

Last, but not least, you have illustrated a failed first year, who was probably at his career peak, working as a busboy in a restaurant. How Riddle and Pettigrew could afford to feed him is mind boggling. Ron is easily set up to completely bungle and sort of rebirthing ritual. I hope to see that soon.

All said, I think you have a good mix of plotlines.

I don't know where all the love for longbottom pours in but it is ridiculous to read it now I mean in every fan fiction harry has to babysit Neville to become the man or he is the only friend of harry where as Hermione and Ron is bad only longbottom is good lol I am fucking tired of reading this shit longbottom everywhere I don't understand what problem people have with Ron and where all the love for longbottom comes but he has become an annoying character now for me reading most ff how he is the only friend of harry and loyal when he does nothing to help harry before harry help him and harry waste his time helping that shot where as harry has problems helping Ron when he ask for help , he didn't teach harry about wizarding world being an ally and neither that shit longbottom helped harry to understand the wizarding world or anything but that shameless never fails to beg for help and harry has all the time to waste on that shit I have to say Hermione and longbottom probably the most annoying character to read , ok I got that people have problems with Ron (whom I like btw) but why can't someone else be a friend for harry instead of longbottom or Hermione , it could be someone from other house but no it has to be that longbottom bloody annoying to read now

I kinda feel bad for Harry in this story. The people around him say they’re his family, but when take a closer look, they aren’t very good to him. They’re constantly getting pissed at him for not doing exactly what they want, hell when he risked his life to save the lives of others, knowing full well that he could die, they start lecturing him about how he must have thought it would just be an adventure, something that is not even remotely true. His wife even punched him in the face for it! The same wife who knows how much he’s been abused! And to top it all off, Hermione seems to take it upon herself to know everything, privacy be damned. I mean think about it. If Harry found a room with a Pensive with a Memory in it at the Bones or Longbottom house in this fanfic, can you honestly see him just jumping into it, knowing that it was someone else’s memory, or would he find someone and ask about it seeing as it could be private?

You really DO seem hell bent on having that appointment with The Veil …. or the axe-goblin; depending on who catches you first. Mind you, if you DO try your intended tactic of ridicule when H&S take their 'Mot seats; you'll be challenged to an honour duel where you are likely to be executed by whomever you're up against. There aren't little Dumbledore disciples you're up against but rather people who can/will play even harder ball than you try to play.
