Hans is on his way back to Elsa?! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! *lots of happy dancing* Now I really do have a big smile on my face :) thank goodness Mama Iduna's forged letter got sent with Anna's, and on the proper paper as validated by Ferdinand *sigh of relief* I'll admit I was ready to yell at my screen at Hans when he first saw Anna's letter and he was going to refuse to return, so mama's.. er.. ahem.. I mean King Agnarr, Admiral Bernadotte's accompanying letter really saved the day (and possibly my computer :P ) . I've loved "Around the World in 80 Days" since I was a kid (I saw a cartoon version first , then watched the movies, then read the book), so having a bit of that as inspiration was something else that made me smile. I also loved how good Hans is with kids- you don't need me to tell you where my imagination went right? ;) you gotta admit Helsa would make amazing parents though now *wants to see it happen* Oh I know I'm getting waaay ahead- he's not even home let alone married to Elsa yet, but I couldn't help it *guilty blushes* I'm sure you know that the final scene in this chapter was also my fave - so romantic!
What do I think of Ferdinand? Interesting. I'll type out my thoughts as they come to me so excuse me if this gets a bit long :D I'm going with my initial instinct not to trust him ATM despite his charms. Even if he's a bad guy he could still change along the way, and you already described some things that show him as not being all bad- so it's 50/50 - plus a certain Author likes to keep us readers guessing-so I'm not making any permanent judgement on him as yet ;) I do think he's not all he seems to be, he's got some secrets of his own. He knows too much about Hans and the recent events from Book 1 and 2, and he's definitely turning on the charm to hide something about himself/his goals/his views in in whole or in part, for some reason. I feel like he's got his own plan/agenda (I might not be right of course). I think his enthusiasm to befriend Hans and insistence on inviting himself to go with Hans on the journey back to Arendelle make him seem really sus. He's known as a hero at a young age "a living legend in military circles", and you mention some of the good things about him - like his "personal courage to bring medicine to the the sick and the poor", he's friendly and willing to share a joke, making even wary Hans feel a "sense of camaraderie" with him. I think Hans is a good judge of character though too. Despite the handsome smiling face and seemingly good nature, the famous French Prince makes Hans feel on his guard as well. ( Side point- if he's from the house of Orleans, is he related to Marguerite, Hans sister in law? that would make him a relative by marriage, so I guess that's one way he might have heard of things that went on in a non sus way). Hans sees Ferdinand "jovial at times, dead serious the next" Ferdinand is a bit jealous of Hans too though he's quick to hide it. Hans is modest now, Ferdi is not, though that could be like Eugene, not necessarily making him a baddie. Ferdi says he isn't keen on going back home and claims he would prefer spending his days in India & Africa, but he knows all about what's going on in Europe/scandinavia, he's quick to want to go with Hans,and he's observing Hans closely when he knows he's distracted. Gale doesn't go unnoticed by Ferdi either. He might genuinely be drawn to Hans and want to be friends, but these things make me wonder about his underlying motives. Like this bit: "Ah, the distant Kingdom of Arendelle and all it's treasures encased in the cold ice.." Maybe I'm looking too much into it and going off on the wrong track *laughs* :D There's a feeling of mystery about him for sure though to me. Whether it's something good, something bad or something inbetween is part of the adventure, right?
Kristly's falcon carrying the messages for Hans arrived super fast with help from his Wind Whisperer gifts and Gale on the case - that was great! (I wish I could have that service for my parcels :P ) I liked how you referred to Hans previously being on good terms with Agnarr when they worked as a team (I promise I wrote my last review before reading this chapter, it's pure concidence we both mention it ) but he's clever enough to realize exactly what Agnarr has in mind by shipping him off to the other side of the world as soon as he knew Hans & Elsa wanted to get married *sigh of frustration at Agnarr*. Me: "Hansie" sweetheart, listen to me and take no notice - please keep "burning with fervor and passion" for Elsa, and don't let that ice-block-headed-King make you feel undeserving! Thankfully repentant Hans remembers that God has forgiven him and granted him the "love of his cherished Elsa" so he's not about to give that up (He's much more patient than me if he imagines actually waiting 2 years though! get your backside back home to Elsa ASAP Prince Hans-some!). It shows his good heart that he doesn't hate Agnarr and understands its only his "paternal instinct" causing him to try and protect Elsa.
Ferdinand is showing himself as a bit of a ladies man in the next scene and seems to be pretty shallow when it comes to women if he only likes pretty ones! and though all men are equal in the sight of God, women aren't? UGH! good on Gale for giving him a smack with his hat plume *grins* :D he deserved it!. This Helena he mentioned, is she his true love? did something happen to force them apart? is that why he hates his fathers choice of brides for him so much and contributes to his eagerness to go with Hans? Oh and what does Ferdi know of Hans " divine enchantress of the present"? :O I guess maybe you'll tell us in the future?
Hans is too chivalrous for his own good sometimes ie- when he read Anna's letter and lets duty override his heart cos though he is just as lonely and melancholy without Elsa, he won't disobey her Papa *headdesk* So again YAY for Iduna's letter that Ferdi eyes and confirms is "real" . I loved (massive understatement!) Hans reaction "can it be? perhaps King Agnarr has relented and Elsa will soon be mine" - he's so happy he drops everything to start the journey back to Arendelle as fast as he can cos he can't wait to be with Elsa! *heart* The feeling that Ferdinand is up to something increased for me when he was trying to read the other secret letter over Hans shoulder and he thought to himself" a far more enticing new game is now afoot", then he insisted he's going with Hans. Hans feels it too eh? "the adventurer prince of the French smiles with a conceited air as he awards an astonished Hans with an ambitious cocksure smile that gave our redheaded hero that same caution signal again, as was his first impression of the man". The older military men are even surprised at "lazy" Ferdinand's sudden enthusiasm for this possibly dangerous speedy trip over land. And he's got more than adventure on his mind. Hans is right to be on his guard though he does need the help travelling in unknown territory. Maybe Ferdinand will learn a thing or two from Hans on the way, whatever he's up to? Hans at least has good intentions - to get back to Elsa in time, and to make friends with his new travel guide on the way. The question is, is Ferdi just an overconfident adventurous guy who gives the wrong impression- like Eugene- or is he really a baddie?
I adored Hans holding his locket from Elsa as he believes that "through God's love miracles could come true" (Amen Hans!) and I love his determination to make his dreams of being with Elsa a reality : "Elsa my dearest darling, I'm coming home to you" - awwwww! lovelovelove!

The final scene was perfect for me, I loved it sooo much, it was gorgeous! :) Ok, it started off sad with Elsa writing in her diary on her own about the days events and saying " I feel lost at sea without my Hans...does he still think of me as I do him?" -that made me feel teary - but when she actually heard his voice I gave a squeee of joy! how you described her feelings, Hans voice and the timing of it - just as Elsa was at her most low and asked that question she heard Hans at the same time as he said those words to her "Elsa my dearest darling I'm coming home" was so romantic! It could be their bond of true love that lets her hear him, or Gales help or a combi of both, but either way I thought that was beautiful! Elsa knew her Mama & Anna were planning something for her B'day but all she wants is "My darling Hans..I wish you could really come to me right now..I wish you could be with me on my B'day". Wishes do come true, and Hans really is on his way home to her at that very moment -yay! his own heart aches for her too. There's just the final part of her wish that needs to come true- he needs to make it back in time. I loved how you described the warm feeling that chased away her cold loneliness and gave her hope instead. Even as she prays for him Hans is on his way *romantic happy smiles at this part* Her Hans-some prince's "determined mind, heart and soul were entirely focused on returning" to her "as he begins this new phase of his passage of love" *highfive* that was awesome! such a wonderful ending to the chapter. I liked the feeling of love and adventure, and also knowing that Gale is accompanying Hans to help him get back more quickly :) Lets hope Iduna has more plans in mind to keep Hans safe from Agnarr when he does make it back home. I think the ice King is possibly more dangerous than the journey ahead! I'm soo looking forward to Helsa's reunion, and to seeing what Ferdinand is up to, and how Agnarr finally gets won over. There's a lot to look forward to! *is extra grateful at how fast the new chapter is up* :D

I've got to say, when Hans made that overly affectionate gesture with Elsa's lipstick on his glove, I could almost feel Elsa's swooning and almost wanting to faint from the overload of emotion. Imagine what romantic escapades these two could go on. XD

This chapter cheered me up so much! I loved seeing the sisters together, and you know I love Mama Iduna - especially when she's putting her man-management skills to use! Forged letter from "Agnarr"? planned Masquerade ball for Elsa to sneak Hans back to her? OooH YEAH! :D And Anna has inherited Iduna's sneaky ways too-both of them plotting in this chapter was completely awesome! Each saw Elsa pining away and decided they were going to do something to make her happy again, then they realized they both had the same goal in mind and joined forces! YES! LOVE! *is cheering* Even getting Eliana, Kristly and Gale involved (I wonder if Nokk could help too?) - now you're talkin'! :) Iduna and Anna's parts were both fantastic and they lightened the mood of the story such a lot- personally I absolutely loved that - incase you didn't already know :P I laughed and smiled my way through this chapter rather than crying *gives you extra highfives*. Papa is needing some serious sorting out but there's no-one better qualified to do it than his wife, and having Anna on board, this team of feisty women are a force to be reckoned with-even for the Ice King *grins* :D Look out Agnarr! you are soo in for some life-lessons! checkmate! and Elsa can look forward to having her heart healed (me too!) though she doesn't know about all the plotting just yet. I can't wait to see Iduna & Anna pull this plan off & how happy it will make Elsa and Hans *lots of heart emojis here* I'm hoping for lots of happy reunited Helsa love scenes in the not so distant future! c'mon - make me cry tears of joy again!
I didn't know Eliana was actually supposed to be in F2 originally, but I liked her right from when you introduced her in the prequel story & how she got made at Halima's bakery. I'm with you- even snow people deserve a happily ever after :) She sweet and makes a good accomplice to Anna & Iduna as well cos she can be trusted to keep quiet when she needs to be (unlike her other half Olaf!), and she has other useful skills - like tidying up after hurricane Anna *laughs* XD I also liked how you made her a combi of Elsa & Anna's traits from adulthood so she has a more mature side, where Olaf is more a combi of the sisters from their younger years so he has a more fun side. Both Snow people compliment each others personalities perfectly just like the sisters do :)
That reminds me of another part of the chapter I loved - how you showed how much better things are with Elsa & Anna together. Both have different good qualities/strengths, so both working together can achieve wonderful things, bringing out the best in each other was well (can I just take this moment to razzle at F2?) You captured the spirit of the original movie, and the sisters characters were spot on (which they weren't for F2 most of the time unfortunately). You cleverly weave the F2 songs and events into your own narrative though without it becoming confusing or clunky or losing the characters traits. Reading your stories lets me watch F2 without wanting to throw something at how they messed up the plot/characters. You even use the F2 "updates" to the Frozen world to your advantage to amazingly enhance your own story, making it even more believable as what really happens next after F2 ended. I'm so impressed by that! I hope I made sense- I was trying to give you a massive well done compliment ;)
Kristly had a fun supporting role in this chapter along with Olaf. Our missing hero Hans also had some adventures which I enjoyed. I agree with him- it's a shame Elsa isn't there to enjoy India with him, I'm sure they'd have had such a wonderful time together. What I did really like was how you showed his kind, respectful, selfless side as well as his fidelity. He's kind to his ship's crew, the little Indian girl, and the pastor. I loved all of your detailed place descriptions and the background history in that section of the story( self confessed history geek here *waves*) , and I liked how you showed some of the culture and your use of the local language - something you've done throughout your books that always impresses me - but wow Hindi is tougher than a lot of the languages you tackled before. Well done!
*laughs at sarcasm in beginning*- so poor Kristly has been "left to read the thrilling tome of a Sailors guide to Battleship history.." *YAWN* for sure! I love history but that even sounds totally snoring-boring to me! Agnarr thinks "Naval instruction volumes" are "compelling must-reads"? :O sheesh Papa needs to spend some extra time with his wife! I'm surprised it wasn't Kristly snoring his head off instead of Anna! ;) Hans on the other hand is more like Agnarr- he's prolly read all those books already and knows them as well as the king. They got on well when they worked together to defeat the monster in book 1 so it's even more of a pity Agnarr is so prejudiced against Hans now. They could be good friends *sigh* I guess I'll have to wait to read what happens with them in the future.
I giggled at Anna waking up and deciding to distract Kristly from his studies & have a smooch when papa left the room (good for her). The psychic bond is coming in handy for Kristanna's romantic life too eh? if one or the other doesn't forget themselves and speak out loud. I laughed when Papa returned to see Kristly standing in the middle of the room saying "absolutely, baby" with his eyes closed in what was prolly a blissful expression , but Papa calls it a "confounded expression". Nice save from Anna telling Kristly to tell Papa he was "seeking inspiration" *grins* :D I eyerolled at Agnarr's stuffy old fashioned insistence that Kristly has to call him "sir" "Admiral" or "King Agnarr", never dad, father or Papa- and definitely "never 'Baby'". That last bit made me laugh though! As if Kristly would call him that, but he has to play along so Papa doesn't find out he's been more thrilled by kissing Anna instead of the boring Navy books that Papa finds thrilling XD Agnarr is even pointing out books about his own youthful sea campaigns for Kristly to learn about next? oh noes! Zzzz! no wonder Kristly misses his troll family! the things we do for love hey? ;)

I though the second scene was great- how you showed the sisters like "yin and yang" in their differences but when they worked together "everything was just right" and "now they had been through so much to make both understand how much more fulfilling life is together, neither sister wanted to let that magic go again.. the sisters could run their peaceful nation and Arendelle side by side" This! *enthusiastic nodding* this was where a huge part of F2 went wrong, but a fantastic example of where you got the characters right *thumbs up* I love the idea of the sisters ruling together as a team and they do it perfectly. As it is, Papa is not taking the idea of his "retirement" well, plus he's expecting Elsa to do things his way under his instructions, though she & Anna already figured out a better way together. Yes Papa can advise, but he should be recovering, not using Elsa as his secretary *facepalm* There's also the question of Ahtohallan/the enchanted lands. Elsa is having a tough time feeling responsible for them too, so that's something else I'm looking forward to seeing your solution to :) I loved the part where Anna mentally stopped with surprise as she was contemplating herself & Elsa running Arendelle together "Anna with Kristoff as her strength, Elsa with Hans ..."whoa did I just think that?" me:*claps delighted hands* See? even Anna has to admit that needs to happen- Helsa belong together in her mind now just as she and Kristly do!
I liked your Beekeepers letter situation/details to emphasize how Elsa had let Papa order her around/make her doubt herself, whereas Anna reminded her in more simple logical terms the better way the sisters had found together as a team, then Elsa feels better. Anna is waay wiser than she sometimes appears to be. Papa has good intentions but he's making a right royal mess-up! Yay at Anna having another plan in mind when she visited Elsa at the writing desk :D (also great references to her own time as acting Queen BTW) She wants to borrow the royal seal hmm? the reason why made me want to give you a whopping big Anna hug! "you'll see how good I am at bringing home things that have been lost" "Anna could see how her big sister was trying to put on a brave face and smile, though her heart was breaking inside" and she was "determined to have Elsa genuinely smile again, and not just put on a show.. she could think of only one way how to make that happen" She's the best sister ever! this bit reminded me of the original movie too- where Elsa was first 'putting on a show' and needed Anna to make her happy for real. Anna is a total pro at it now... but there's one person who is even better!Mama! *laughs at Iduna eavesdropping at the door so Anna almost falls over her and the ancient seal ring goes flying* XD Iduna is right to be proud of Anna here. She didn't make a good queen on her own, but she has great people skills, and she's learned some clever "subterfuge" lessons too!
The sneaky handing of the forged papers to Anna & the instructions for Eliana to tell her younger daughter about Mama's plan were brilliant! Iduna also knows the only way for Elsa to be happy again is to bring Hans home, so she's been plotting away. "Elsa & Hans idyllic bridal road to chapel bells would take much quiet perseverance and a lot of wily finesse- two traits..Iduna possessed and ample supply of, especially honed when it came to handling her difficult man..Iduna was certain she saw that same certain gleam in Anna's turquoise eyes" YESyesYEs! *happy dances* Anna's own plan was great, Iduna's plan was amazing, and together these two are unstoppable! YAY!
Iduna seems to have more than one plan of action, right? her encouragement to Elsa about Hans and her reminder of "no more secrets. No more concealment. It's time for you to live and love"- that part was lovely, and I also liked how you included Iduna's childhood nickname for Elsa "Little Snow" in this part as well as references to "Show yourself". It really worked :) Iduna is going to get Elsa to 'step into her power' by using music as well. Since Iduna, Anna & Rapunzel all have powers/gifts that respond better to music, it seems natural to me that Elsa would share that trait tool- she just needs some more lessons from Mama when it comes to using that to help her and Hans.

Anna's bedroom scene was funny - with Eliana quite literally spilling the beans at Anna's request and making even more of a mess *chuckles* it so didn't surprise me that Anna's room is already messy (understatement!). Making the bed and cleaning up her treats that are all over the place are hardly at the top of Anna's to do list on a normal day, let alone whens she's plotting :D that's in keeping with her character too. As is her admitting to Eliana that they're all worried about Elsa, and no matter how much fun the masquerade ball sounds, it still wouldn't cheer her big sis up... until Eliana mentioned Mama's surprise "guest of honor" is gonna be Hans *squee!* loved your timing in that part ( side point:Eliana also has great taste in men *winks* ) . The perfectly forged letter from oh-so-innocent-looking Iduna is so AWESOME! I loved how Anna laughed at her clever Mama's plan being on the save wavelength as her own, but even better. Anna: "and I thought I was the dreamer in this family" XD How is she gonna get Hans back in time though? well that's one more thing to my "can't wait to find out" list ;) I thought this was such a good line: " Queen Iduna was the master of playing chess gambits to outmaneuver her husband on almost every occasion" being a clever schemer right since the time she met Aganrr in the enchanted forest when she fell for him. I have a massive grin on my face right now! :D Another thing that made me laugh was the description of Anna adding her own note to Hans to get back for Elsa's sake. She's forgiven him but writing "dearest" makes her want to gag *giggles*. That first note must be the most formal thing Anna has ever written- even in her boring Queen role, no? Eliana is so right! The second version is much better and sooo "Anna" with the "PS" "PPS" and"I expect to see you here or else" *more grinning* I like how she overcame her annoyance for Elsa's sake and called him "partner" too. Getting Gale to help would be easy enough as "she" wants to help Elsa and approves of Hans. Getting Kristly to join in?... well he's stuck with Papa, but Anna is waaay too persuasive to resist ;) His excuse of "call of nature!" as he dashes off to help Anna with his nature gift made me laugh because he means it literally though not in the way Agnarr thinks :D

In the last scene Hans' continuing devotion to only Elsa and thoughts of her were so heartwarming to read. I loved that! as well as your history and description of the town and how Christianity/Bible translation etc came to that part of India. I enjoyed that Hans went to church instead of going out to enjoy the other sights like his men did, and I adored that Gale took the scent of home and Elsa to Hans as he thought of her, even brushing his lips like a kiss from Elsa as he wished she was with him. He truly is a repentant man, devoted to his faith and to his fiancee. I liked the friendly Indian pastor very much too. Hans' kindness to the little native girl and how he saved her pet was really sweet, showing his selfless caring side. Now wonder she called him her guardian Angel (forgive me for not writing it in the correct language). The fact that she refers to a "devil" with brown hair is ominous. That guy at the governor's house is giving off all sorts of bad vibes. He seems to have heard of Hans as well..uh-oh. He sounds like he's up to no good. Pastor Savarimootoo is right that children can often naturally sense who has a good heart, so the girl's reaction to Hans, then to the newcomer had to be significant. Who is he- I mean other than trouble? I guess we're about to find out! you've got the next chapter up faster than I've typed this review *grins* I'm not complaining though! I'm happy! *is going to read it right this second*

Loved this chapter so much beautifully written. It is interesting to see Hans interact with prince Ferdinand, they have the potential to become great friends although I have an off feeling about him. Can he be trusted ? I can’t wait to see what comes in the next chapter

Beautiful chapter I was entirely engrossed in Anna and Elsa’s lovely sisterly exchange. Elsa is lucky to have a mother like Iduna who Is diligently attempting to get her daughters true love home. I loved Hans part of the chapter especially , the way he is interacting with the Indian community. Amazing as per usual

Good thing I decided to keep the tissue box handy! this was such an emotional chapter for me I think I cried as much as Elsa! In fact I think I lived through all of her emotions with her, just as you wrote them. It was very moving. I didn't find your flashback fade-in/fade-out confusing, I thought it was helpful, so I hope you keep doing that :)
I got the feeling early on (before reading your end notes), that this chapter was a lot about understanding Agnarr's motives too, so let's deal with Papa first eh? Tell me if I'm wrong of course, but this is what I thought: He's not finding his return easy either-he's having trouble sitting back to recover from his 7 years of difficulties, and is undermining Elsa's authority without even realizing it. He's determined to rule again right off, because he thinks that's the right thing to do, though he knows Elsa is queen he's having issues even adjusting to sharing the rulership with her because he's so used to running things by himself in the old fashioned way, so there's a lot of help going on behind the scenes without him knowing to make it work between them. Elsa does benefit from Papa's vast experience, but she's a good queen in her own right, and she has her own strengths. Unfortunately Papa has trouble with seeing his daughters as grown women. The reminder of his own difficult childhood and sad background(his cruel unloving father, the way he was forced to "conceal" his "curse", the loss of the good influence of his mother, the isolation he lived through from a very young age etc) is useful as it shows the long way he's come already with the help of Kai, Gerda & Mattias initially, then more so with Iduna, but it's been slow going to change some of the ideas he was brought up with, even with their help. He's still like that. His past has left him traumatized to some extent (the same as Elsa), & although he is a good leader/ruler and a good father, he still clings to old ideas and it takes him a while and a lot of persuasion to see when he makes a mistake. He's easily emotionally overwrought when it comes to the subject of family in particular. He's always wanted to be a good dad and has a good heart, but he can become fiercely protective to the point of being way too overprotective of his daughters. His experiences in life, then the subsequent trials of the past 7 years, make him cling to his family, acting in a more extreme way. I think BTW that you were right to include all the references to Agnarr's past including his link to the Snow Queen, and how his own father treated him, in this chapter that deals so much with the sad consequences of his latest actions towards Elsa especially, so we can understand why he's messed things up causing unintentional harm. He loves her, but he's so sure he's doing what is right, when in fact he's causing her emotional distress, that he doesn't see that yet. It' s a real shame because they both came a long way together when they were reunited in Book 1- she forgave him for how he tried to handle her gift as a child after Anna's accident, she knows he loves her and he's showed he's proud of her too, but he still needs a lot of work. Agnarr's overreaction to Elsa accidentally cutting herself when he spoke to her in the kitchen shows just how on edge and overprotective he still is, though it showed his heartfelt love for her at the same time. Iduna knows best how to handle him, and I enjoy reading how she does that - both in this chapter and in your previous books. Here she has to reassure him that he didn't cause Elsa to hurt herself to the point where she can't stop crying, because he's convinced that's the case and it freaks him out. I laughed at old-fashioned Papa legging it from the room so fast he dragged Anna along when he heard Iduna's excuse of it being "that time of the month" for Elsa XD (reminded me of my own dad *giggles* ) I still don't like the separation he's forced on Elsa and Hans, but I don't dislike Papa- I see where he's coming from, and that he still needs a lot of help himself. You've shown his fun side and his loving side before, and I haven't forgotten that, plus the reminders in this chapter of his background relating to why he's being so darn hard on Helsa do help readers to see things from his point of view more clearly *thumbs up* But I'm really looking forward to him 'seeing the light'! ;)
In this chapter you also highlighted Papa's influence on Anna and Kristoff's marriage. Blue skies and sunshine it aint! in the prologue it seemed like Hans and Elsa were the only ones feeling wistful and unhappy, but in reality Agnarr has made married life tougher for Kristanna too. Luckily for them he's been won over to accepting it, letting them live in the cottage on the castle grounds for a more normal life together..mostly.. with conditions. Poor Kristly! all those tight suits and boring royal studies :O "Sir" Kristoff is having to get up at the crack of dawn to do his work (he's a hardworking guy who loves his job and wants to provide for the family still rather than sponge off the royals), then get back in time to study and have "rigorous cultural training and scrupulous learning to be a Knight"with Agnarr. I liked how you described how he went through it all for the sake of Anna's love and to "keep the peace" with her family, being helped by clever Iduna, and his gifts (guiltily,but if it helps he's willing). So Anna isn't getting to sleep in late with him eh? that must be a toughie, especially as she is soo not a morning person. But Anna has her man with her, along with her own positive outlook and sunny disposition- and she hasn't let Papa stop her enjoying married life with Kristly (even if they have to sneak into the barn or the library or..just about anywhere they happen to get the chance *grins*). Anna isn't making Kristly's studies with papa any easier by popping up wherever they are and flirting with him via their psychic link ("I still prefer you in leather" hahaha :D).
I loved Anna in this chapter- she's part of the antidote to the underlying sadness, making the best of the situation/still enjoying herself, and you also show her mature caring side a lot too. She sees Elsa's sorrow & heartbreak hidden behind her smile, how repressed Elsa is(wearing her purple velveteen outfit, not one of her dresses that truly express her personality when she's feeling free and happy), the ever-present tears in her sister's eyes. The sisters love being back together and thankfully Elsa hasn't run off to lock herself away in isolation again, but even Anna's love won't stop Elsa's heart breaking, so I don't think Anna will be able to sit by and watch. I enjoyed how you described Anna's efforts to help Elsa, little details showing she's taking extra care of her already - like trying to make Elsa laugh with Olaf, sliding in the hallways, enthusiasm for breakfast and most importantly noticing Elsa's early morning trips to the fjord edge since Hans was sent away, and making sure she is always there waiting for Elsa to return, having their mother's Northuldran shawl ready to wrap around her for fits in with F2, and I thought it was super sweet and kind. That usually impatient Anna has waited 2 months doing this before asking Elsa outright if she's missing Hans so much shows how considerate she's being, and Elsa knows that, confiding in her little sis openly how badly she misses him. Anna is wise enough and experienced enough in love now to realize some of the pain Elsa is in "I couldn't live anymore without having my Kristly to talk to, to laugh with and (this bit is sooo cheeky Anna!) smack around everyday" She imagines "how terrible it would be" and senses Elsa's "palpable yearning" for Hans. Anna decided in book 2 to help Elsa when she saw her missing him then -it's worse this time, so I'm hoping she'll do something now as well. Iduna has something planned too, she knows how Elsa feels & she was the one to encourage Elsa to go after Hans in book 2, so I'm hopeful/ looking forward to seeing what happens now. Both of these lively, brave and caring ladies won't be able to see Elsa suffer, I'm glad they're both sure Helsa's love is not going to fade with time, and that for Elsa to be happy again (not pretending to be ok to try and make her family happy while her heart breaks inside), something needs to be done about the unwanted separation.
Elsa's flashback parts and how often she has them emphasized how she's feeling. I was happy you wrote the knighting ceremony one especially- it made me feel a lot of emotions, was beautifully described and detailed. It was awesome to see Hans getting so many awards for his bravery, and that Kristly, Eugene and Job all got Knighted too. I thought the interaction between Hans & Elsa- the romance,devotion and fun- did a lot to offset the melancholy feeling of some of the other parts of the chapter. You know I love seeing them together :) The lead into this section - Elsa's visit to the chapel as was great as well. The place, scent, song..there are so many things there that could set off the vivid memories and cause Elsa to lose herself in that moment in the past. I also liked how in the ceremony you reminded readers of all Hans had accomplished on his road to repentance, redemption and ultimately true love, putting his life at risk time and again for Elsa, her family, her country. He has everything he ever wanted now as a reward, but the only thing that matters to him is Elsa's love for him and his for her. His showing her such reverence & devotion was so lovely- when she put the most important medal around his neck and he had a "sincere grateful glow" in his "adoring eyes" as he made that special pledge to her, they walked out together and everyone- even his brother Jurgen clapped. It made me cry cos is was so emotional and beautiful. I loved their exchanged expressions of love later when no-one was looking & Hans pulled Elsa into the vestibule as well- so romantic with a touch of comedy at the same time. "I meant every word of that pledge my precious Snowflake" as he embraced her while she was crying" Hans I want you to stay..with me..like this forever. I don't want to be..without you" Oh goodness I could get through a box of tissues reading that! & when he said he would always be with her like the lyrics of their song, I couldn't stop my eyes filling up over n over. You wrote their love for each other so perfectly here, so full of feeling. It was both sweet and heartbreaking as they shared that last kiss, and though Hans made Elsa giggle to cheer her up (I also giggled -like when he mentioned thinking of her while he was sitting in the bathing Sitz, and the lyircs to "I'm so pretty" as sung comically by Santino Fontana in his original audition as Hans), he was broken inside as she was by that parting. I liked quick-thinking Hans making sure Agnarr didn't catch them in their last passionate kiss so that everyone didn't end up with frostbite, and Iduna could see from their expressions that the separation would not stop their love. I also loved that Anna noticed their stolen glances that were "so full of longing and love it broke her compassionate heart to see her beloved sister..in such distress"
Eugene piping up with "like the lip color your shade" was another bit of brilliantly timed comedy to lighten the heartbreak.I was so glad of that :) Don't wanna run out of tissues yet ya know? I was teary-happy at the part where Hans pressed his glove to his lips so he could keep Elsa's kiss on it "I shall never wash this again & keep it near my heart" next to his locket. It was wonderful even if Eugene teased him for being "cheesy", at least Elsa (and Anna & Rapunzel) appreciated the romantic sweet gesture. Anna totally gets it too because she kept Elsa's blanket as a child til it got threadbare, so she sympathized "with Hans genuine love for Elsa was so great he wished to hold onto everything about something as trivial as a smudge of her lip gloss and her scent on his gloves which would serve as Hans own security blanket". At least Papa let Elsa watch the ship leave until after dark, staying with her and not telling her off when Hans blew a kiss to her and she asked him to write though it was forbidden "he waited patiently to escort his tearful little girl home". This showed a couple of that Agnarr is a good guy at heart & he loves his daughter, so he didn't do anything to make that parting worse, but secondly he still thinks of her as a lovesick "little girl" instead of a grown woman who is sure of her heart. He has a lot of learning to do!

Gerda telling Anna off was funny, in a way she also still treats Anna as a girl, but she's doing it to spare her a telling off from Papa. She knows what Anna & Kristly have been up to, but hey, it's natural for a loving married couple- as Iduna points out (I love her more n more!). Iduna's insisting on cooking was great too. She enjoys the freedom of doing normal things as Anna does- and she doesn't let Agnarr stop her either.I like how you used the Kitchen scene to refer to book 1's events for Agduna and Helsa, then you showed how Agnarr still overreacts & needs help & reassurance while still having good intentions as everyone present knows. I found Iduna's words to Elsa comforting too:" you'll be ok..my darling";" 2 years? we'll just have to see about that Agnarr Bernadotte!"; "Mama will take care of everything" She knows the real reason Elsa has broken down in tears, and Elsa confides in her. I loved how she soothed Elsa with her words about Hans never forgetting her and also "mama has a plan" YAY! I cheered at this!
Hans complete love & faithfulness for Elsa, his eyes & thoughts for her alone in the final scene, were beautiful to read too. He feels the same as she does, he's lonely without her, needs her, is missing her with all his heart. With Iduna & Anna on the case I truly hope Elsa and Hans wont be sad and separated for much longer *looks hopefully towards next chapter* ;)

Here we go- Book 3 ! Am I ready? YES! Am I excited? YES! Am I hopeful? YES! Am I armed with some new boxes of tissues? er.. also YES!? :P *grins* Well it's best to be prepared, right? and I know Helsa will be separated at the beginning so tissues are my must-have item for now ;) I gotta say I'm sighing with relief that us readers didn't have to wait 2 months after the end of Book 2, which is where your Prologue starts off :)
There's such a contrast of feelings going on here between Elsa and the rest of Arendelle. It actually has a little bit of a F2 feel to it as well: the Autumn setting, the weather changing (also signifying a change in situations for our characters) , and the celebrating at the beginning. But like F2, Elsa has a dark cloud hanging over her sunny days. The people of Arendelle and the rest of the country have been having a happy time, beginning with that month long celebration at the miraculous return of Agnarr and Iduna with their daughters. Anna (and no doubt Kristoff too) is happy because she's finally ditched her unwanted "Queen" role, and is getting on with family life, able to be with her people as one of them (no stuffy royal duties or paperwork involved!), and being the other half of a happily married couple with Kristly (which is actually good for both them and Arendelle as a whole to be fair, since months later Elsa is still covering for her sister's " 9 months of unintentional diplomatic faux pas" -I did giggle at that a bit :D). Agnarr is happy, not only to be home at last with his wife and daughters, he also thinks he's got rid of Elsa's fiance Hans, hoping Elsa will forget him cos she's so busy being saddled with a boatload of her own royal responsibilities. Poor Elsa! Of course she won't forget her man, and he won't forget her as the title implies too! *Razzles Agnarr* (sorry, couldn't resist! he still deserves it at this point :P ) . So she's the only one not feeling joyful in Arendelle right now- aww :( I love that you mention a bit later that Hans and Elsa both constantly still have their romantic keepsakes from each other worn over their hearts though. Agnarr is obviously oblivious, unlike Iduna, as to what Elsa's forget-me-not corsage really means eh? ;)
I also loved your song choice- you're right that " You walk with me" is absolutely perfect for this point in the story- the couple longing for each other's love and missing each other, the mood, the lyrics (and yay for there being an actual recording of Santino Fontana and his singing partner who sounds like Elsa singing it together -I listened to that). It's very beautiful and hopeful, though a little bit sad at the same time. You even had a bit of F2's "Into the unknown" in your prologue with an appropriate lyric adjustment- I liked that as well.
Your scenery and use of colour was wonderful to set the mood too. The glorious warm Autumnal colours surrounding Arendelle reflects the general mood of the happy people. Then you described the small trickling bit of early morning sunlight falling on the cold muted colours of the quiet lonely spot at the edge of the Fjord, where you introduce Elsa, alone, looking out to sea wistfully, wishing she was with Hans instead :"As she did every morning at daybreak since he departed". *sniffles* I really felt that (which means good writing, not just an emotional reader). I think you conveyed all the emotion and contrast brilliantly setting the scene for the story to begin.
Elsa is done being the Queen of "Ice-olation" now ( clever! I like that!), she's found true love at last. Papa Agnarr was sooo not fair to send Hans away, especially so quickly, and the "No correspondence" thing? yeah no! someone needs to wake him up to his fail there! but what I did like was the feeling and knowledge throughout your prologue, that both Hans and Elsa will always remain in love and faithful to each other. Elsa's actions (eg- how very clearly she remembers Hans, his voice, the scene when he gave her the forget-me-not's etc) when she starts to feel the melancholy loneliness eating away at her made me smile as well as emphasizing their unshakable love.

Do Hans and Elsa really hear and feel each others emotions and perhaps even their voices subconsciously through their true love bond? I think so and hope so - I get the impression they do from both the scene with Elsa at the fjord edge, and Hans on his ship. I love that when Elsa looks at her corsage from Hans she feels like she can hear him again, and it lifts her mood, warming her heart. The song in this part of the story as well as Hans words made me teary, though it was romantic at the same time. Especially this bit: " no-one seemed to understand her as well as her dashing red-headed Dane, as Elsa hears Hans' lovely tenor reverberate inside her soul. His gentle wisdom spoke patience for the promise of a future together with a true love beyond love, that their amazing bond, through danger,risk, and ultimately trust, had forged a relationship which would last a lifetime" followed by the line from the song. This is such a great summary of their relationship growth over your first 2 Books *thumbs up* and this part is also very realistic: "but those prospective assurances didn't take away the ..pangs of being physically apart from the man she loved with all her heart". EXACTLY! *nods* trust me I know, so I feel like literally everything in me is shouting out to do something about it- but that's your job as the Author my friend ;)

And this is where you really brightened the mood with F2's Nokk water horse. He's my unlikely hero of the prologue and his part was an awesome surprise! :) You first introduce him spying on Elsa while she's feeling lonely and gazing into the water. He would be sensitive to her feelings so again, realistic that he showed up though I wasn't expecting him. Elsa wasn't either and being caught off guard she's a bit sharp with him for sneaking about to start with, but at the same time it gives her an idea. I absolutely love what she does! actually being able to send him over the sea quickly to Hans is perfect! the mood changes correspondingly to one of anticipation and hope. Elsa's F2 elemental friends and her stronger powers now make it really possible too! Who'd have guessed I'd be soooo happy about the F2 elemental characters as I am now? *laughs* :D

In the scene on board the ship,Hans is having a bit of a Eugene ego moment thinking of his Elsa longing for him, no? :P but he's true as ever, and missing her just as much as she misses him. This adventure to far away places on the new ship as Kommander and Vise Admiral was one of his dreams in the past, and it would have been something he'd have enjoyed if she'd been with him now. As it is, he's sleepless and lonely missing Elsa instead.
I adored Nokk's visit to him! I was laughing when Hans got the urgent feeling he needed to look out the window and came face to face with Nokk XD Not what he was expecting hey? but it cheered him up as well, knowing Elsa must have sent him. Even better that Hans was shirtless at the time *swoons at mental picture* ..Ahem.. sorry! I got distracted by that! *innocent smile* c'mon you did describe his "red-haired bare chest" and him washing without taking the locket off, so what did you expect? hmm? ! ;)
I wonder if Elsa can see Hans through Nokk's eyes, as Hans sees Elsa's eyes via Nokk?...
I thought his message he sent to her was beautiful, knowing Nokk would be able to tell her somehow- sooo romantic! I won't quote the entire thing but here's a bit *dreamy look* : "wait for me my true love, as I wait for you..please take courage that the time will melt away...by the warmth of our hearts until our true eyes..and lips meet again" How gorgeous was that? and the pendant she gave him over his heart tingling as he said it? aww! His unwavering commitment and longing is so sweet! "Hans yearning love prayed for the time to pass, so they could be together again, his devotion was just as strong for Elsa of his heart, as hers was constant for him" LoveLoveLove! you made me so happy with that scene! Agnarr might think he's succeeded by putting those thousands of miles between them, but their love for each other is much to strong and true for that to stop them. Plus F2 did do something useful in giving Elsa and Hans a way to communicate via the elementals- and Agnarr doesn't know a thing about it *has a big grin* :D
I can't wait to see what new adventures you've got planned for these lovers, and also how you bring them back together (of course!) ! this was a great start to Book 3 and I'm looking forward to reading more! *does happy dances that chapter 1 is up now I've finished typing my review!* YAY! No waiting! time to see what happens next :)

I’ve read a lot of reviews on this third story, and I do like the idea of a dark crystal corrupting Someone, but I think it should be Anna instead of Elsa just because of how Elsa and Hans would bring her back, maybe the dark crystal gives Anna dark powers and her inner dark side comes through idk. I just think it shouldn’t be Elsa that gets corrupted and the helsa moments there with Hans comforting Elsa would be amazing

Hello! I read through this intro, so to speak. But after reading the comments on previous chapters, I really hope that you make some serious changes. Some reviewers have brought it to my attention that you've made some characters act still a bit annoying (Anna specifically, with her continued distrust), and that there seems to be a communication issue between Elsa and Hans.

I hope you change things a bit, and that you do not add these seemingly unnecessary levels of drama.

I like this new Agdar. He may need a little push in the right direction from time to time, but after that he is great. He supports Iduna and Elsa. What a lovely welcome and greeting between the two love birds! Looking forward to reading the much-awaited wedding!

I swear this book is getting better and better every time a new chapter comes out! Now we’ve got to look forward to the most anticipated wedding ever and a new baby! I can’t wait
