I hope you continue your story it's really interesting. I really thought the current Queen Apailana was going to ask Padme to become her decoy handmaiden like Sabe was for Padme. Instead of a bodyguard however she would step in for the Apailana when she needed to handle something political. The Queens make up is pretty good a hiding their identity and age difference. As long as Vader or Sidious dosen't show up and recognise Padme's presence they should be able to get away with it.

I am sorry about that backlash you received, that's just not cool. But I love how you portray the characters, I feel they are quite true to their movie counterparts. I do hope that Darth Vader never comes to find them, but I have a feeling that will happen. And I'm down for it. :) I really am excited to see where you take this story, I wanna see how this plays out!

I don't think anyone was trying to hurt feelings, it is your story but you did ask for a choice of direction and for opinions, and I think everyone was just being honest, maybe a little too much so, but Obi-Wan and Padme isn't a real popular paring, and in this setting makes little sense, I mean, like I said, Obi-Wan's as much to blame for Mustafar as Anakin, perhaps even more so, Anakin was far from a right state of mind, and Obi-Wan betrayed Padme's trust by putting her in a bad situation, he didn't absolve her of blame to Anakin, and really didn't try to help her, he just goaded Anakin into a fight and butchered him; And with Padme being quite insistent that there's still good in Anakin, she's now gonna run and hide with the guy that separated her from her husband, and enter a relationship with him with no real attraction? At that point, you shut down Anakin's redemption arc and doom him to Darth Vader for all time, a decision that also won't be that popular.

A prevailing option could be Obi-Wan and one of the handmaidens, usually Dorme getting together, and something forcing a Padme/Vader meeting, perhaps Sidious making Vader go to Naboo just to mess with him and they somehow cross paths, or maybe you could use Ahsoka, if you were planning on bringing her in; And hopefully before the twins are grown, there's already a few stories ongoing with that plot and later time frame.

Wow, seriously? Did you get a lot of PMs from people telling you that? Because in the reviews, I only see one person saying anything like that. Have no fear from me. I won't leave. I'm sticking around until the end, regardless of whichever pairing is chosen. I suppose when it comes to choosing the pairing, you'll have to ask yourself one question. Do you want to redeem Vader back into Anakin, or not?

If the answer is yes, it'll be easier to do so if the pairing is Anakin x Padme. An Obi-Wan x Padme pairing would be much more difficult to pull off, but still not impossible.

If the answer is no, then the Obi-Wan x Padme pairing is perfect for that scenario, because learning that his family is not only alive, but has chosen Obi-Wan over him, would be the final straw to trap Vader in the Dark Side, forever.

Just remember one thing. In the end, YOU are the author, not the readers. It's YOUR story and yours alone. It doesn't belong to any of your readers. It doesn't belong to me. It's YOUR choice on which pairing to go with. Go with whichever one YOU want to do. I'll keep reading, regardless of your choice.

Anyway, I've enjoyed what I've read so far. Looking forward to future chapters!

Anakin x Padme, without question.

I have always thought that Obi-Wan having a romantic relationship is out of his character. Obi-Wan is, if not the most dedicated to the jedi rules. I just can't imagine myself seeing him discard the living of jedi even if there were no jedi order left.

Love this story! Your attention to detail is rather impressive. I will say that I love Padme/Anakin.

Also, and I wish I could edit my previous review, why does Obi-Wan always get a pass for basically manipulating Padme to go confront Anakin on Mustafar, so he can ambush Anakin and play hero? I mean, he's half to blame, at least for what happened there, it was Obi-Wan that came to kill Anakin, not the other way around, just because Yoda and Obi-Wan don't believe anyone can come back from the Dark Side. "Only a Sith deals in absolutes."

Hell, he never even tried to help Padme until after the battle, and he sure took his sweet time while she was being choked.

If Padme lives, she's gotta be with Anakin, at this point she's the only thing or person that can unravel Sidious' lies, for I'm assuming Anakin thinks Padme and the child(ren) are dead; And that's really the only thing keeping Anakin mentally and emotionally under the Emperor's control. A Padme/Obi-Wan relationship would only drive Anakin further, if not all the way, into the darkness; Plus Obi-Wan's one true "canon" love interest already existed, the Duchess Satine from the 2nd Clone Wars series. Also I've long imagined a scene where Vader visits Padme's tomb, and she sees him mourning, and they either have a confrontation/reunion, or she decides in private that she can redeem him. "There's still good in him, Obi-Wan"
(And, I assume that Padme doesn't know about her "funeral", which I believe Yoda almost let slip.)

PS: I've never really gotten the Obidala thing, I mean she spent nearly the entirety of TPM with Qui-Gon and Anakin, with Obi-Wan mostly around Sabe, as the decoy Queen; And in ATOC, after not being around each other in 10 years, everybody acts like they're close friends. And she's around Anakin for almost the entire movie.
