Wow, this was beautiful and heart breaking. Very well done though. I definitely enjoyed it.

Incredibly heart wrenching! I legit cried. I love when fics can bring out that much emotion, so thank you. Amazing job! I’m glad InuYasha was able to see her one more time... and that although the ending is sad, it is also happy.

I gotta say this was creative. I never read a story about Inuyasha aging into meeting Kagome in the present day, knowing he only has a few years before she leaves for good. This brings up all sorts of crazy plot issues between both characters. In a way it's kind of cruel for Inuyasha to do this. In exchange for getting to spend three more years with her when she's really young, she has to handle leaving one version of him in addition to having to leave her family. Also he can't reveal anything about their future.

I gotta say as a history buff, I'd be wanting to ask about his possible participation all those important historical events over those 400 years. What was it like to see the rise of the Tokugawa Shogunate? Was he there on the docks when Commodore Matthew Perry's ships sailed into Edo Bay? Did he participate in the Boshin War? Did he fight in World War II? I would have had her inquire about at least a few of those.

I'm also curious about him outliving his children. They would have some demon blood in them. Not as much as his, but then again, he's only half demon and he still lives hundreds of years. So would it be the case for them? And what about Shippo? He's a full demon.

Anyway I really liked your writing. No typos or grammar errors that I could find, and the characters seemed to be depicted accurately enough. The part where Inuyasha convinces Kagome to go back through the well one last time was especially effective, the way to conveyed the views of everyone involved. It was also a nice transition from the happy celebration of graduation to the sadness of having to heave her family behind.

I would say though, there were a few parts in which you switch between past-tense and present-tense narration. I would have just stuck with the first one. Also you didn't need so many spaces between time jumps. Just a simple line-break would have been enough. Still this was another very good story, dealing an issue few writers have ever bothered to try out.

Excuse me, but how the hell does this not have waaaaaay more reviews and favorites?! This is such a unique post-canon idea: Inuyasha waiting for Kagome, reuniting with her, and yet she still returns to the past. I've never come across that concept before now and I LOVE it! I'm such a sucker for post-canon/pre-union angst oneshots, and this one was a perfect combination of romance, angst, and even fluff. Beautiful, beautiful fic. Absolutely fantastic! I'm so glad I came across this! *applauds*

wow! this is a really bittersweet story! I've read so many before, but this one got to be on my top. It's just the way how is written, how really brings you to feel among the characters, the way how you treatment the time on the story; It brings the real side of it but in a sutil manner; I hope it would end in a happiest way but I understand what your idea for it was, and tha is good. 10/10

Omg! It's been a while since I read this story, but I just realized that I didn't leave a review and I think that you deserve one.
I loved this story, it made my hurt sunk. While I was reading it I felt incredibly sand all the time, I read it with a weight on my chest. But it was sweet. Heartbreaking but sweet. I can't with the idea of Inuyasha being sad and alone knowing that he's never going to watch Kagome again. It's... so sad.
Anyway, keep up with the good work, congratulations on writing such a lovely one-shot! 3
