Once again another story that I love, I cry with the end, the relationship of Gwendolyn and Devlin moves me too much. I will continue reading!

This is sexism literally up to eleven. Your Kevin is a misogynistic pig who wants to 'show off' his 'trophy wife' by exposing her in front of other people, and no, being drunk doesn't excuse misogyny and sexism. This is disgusting.

Actually its confusing like what kevin did to devlin. I think u should make another chapter for happy ending. Its little bit empty without KEVIN ETHAN LEVIN...

Let me say the things I liked from this chapter first.

I loved ALL the interactions between Gwendolyn and Devlin. She already loves this kid very much, it was sweet and well done. I liked that Gwendolyn saw Devlin's hybrid form and was so happy and casual about it, instead of judging Devlin as he would expect. (Although it was weird to hear she say that Devlin looked like his father, because it was in that very same hybrid form that Kevin almost killed her in the past, so she isn't supposed to feel nostalgic about Kevin looking like that. Maybe Gwendolyn has some issues after all xD)

I also liked the scene between Paradox, Gwendolyn and Kenny-not-Spanner-yet (Kenny's confusion was funny!), and later Ben 10K and Kenny-Spanner. Also Rook mentioning the concept of a self-fulfilling prophesy. I'm really enjoying the way time-travel is being implemented here so far (and as I mentioned before, I am very picky about time travel, I wouldn't say that if I didn't meant it)

Also the moment between Devlin and Zed was very heartwarming too, I enjoyed a lot to see Zed bonding with Devlin immediately.

Ok, now, I'm very sorry to say that, but there's one thing I hated.

Ben so casually speaking about Gwendolyn's possible death while Kevin was the only one beating himself up over it. Yes, in canon Ben is a jerk to Gwen sometimes, but every time her life was in risk he went all ape-shit crazy, like when he thought she had died in "Secret of the Omnitrix". I can understand Rook not caring much about it, since Rook is not very close to Gwen, but seeing a casual reaction coming from Ben, that's impossible to understand.

Sorry about the long review, but I love to talk about time travel XD

I love time travel stories. But I'm also very picky about it too (my favorite time travel movies are "Primer" and "Timecrimes", you probably didn't even hear about them XD)

So, time travel in fiction is usually done in three different ways:

1) The most usual way (and the one I think is completely absurd) in which the traveler changes his own timeline, goes back to the future, and learns about how he changed things, and goes on to live his live as if he somehow were always a part of the changed timeline. It doesn't make sense to me.

2) The traveler ends up creating a new timeline with the changes, and when he goes back to the future, he finds another version of himself there (Or he wasn't even born in the new timeline and nobody knows him at all), he changed the future, but he is not a part of the new timeline. I like it! This type of time travel makes sense to me.

3) The traveler doesn't change anything at all, everything he did was already done. I really like this type of time travel too, but it's very very tricky to pull off, because it means that despite his interactions to people, people still made the same mistakes the traveler told them about.

I think "3" is what you're doing here, since Ben 10K and Gwendolyn remember Devlin in their past, but I wonder why Devlin's very direct warnings about Kevin's future evil turn are not going to affect their future. But I think it will be fully explained later, so I'll wait and see (read).

Gwendolyn's rage against Maltruant was very well handled. Seeing her beating up Maltruant and Ben acknowledging that she was in fact "toning it back a notch" shows how scary Gwendolyn can be sometimes. It made me remind of Ben's own rage against Kevin in "Ken 10" when he turned into Way Big and caused shockwaves all across the city beating up Kevin after he had hurt Ken.

I really loved to finally see someone going all "WHAT?" because Ben and Gwen were friends with Kevin. It makes sense for Devlin to be the one freaking out about that, since Devlin was neglected by his father for years, and later he was physically attacked by Kevin during the events of "Ken 10".

"Like, did Kevin kill his puppy in front of him or something?" Was that a nod to the fact that Kevin DID "kill a puppy" in canon? (He smashed Ken's stone dog). If it was intentional, very nice easter egg.

I don't see canon Kevin being the kind of guy who wouldn't even look at another woman other than Gwen, because, for example, in UAF he wasn't bothered the times Sunny and Jennifer Nocturne flirted with him, and in OV continuity he did have Devlin with another woman. But I guess your Kevin IS that madly in love with Gwen, and that's ok, because it's your interpretation of the character, and that's why we write fanfics in the first place.

I feel very sorry for Devlin when Kevin accused him of killing Gwendolyn, especially since death by childbirth does happen in real life, and is not a burden any kid would want to carry. I think he should have defended himself saying that Gwendolyn was alive and accusing Kevin of lashing out on him just to dodge Devlin's accusations about his terrible actions. I'm glad Gwendolyn comforted Devlin though.

Gwendolyn is already pregnant. I can see the drama, Kevin will want her to abort, and she will want to keep the baby (I might be wrong though xD)

Sorry for the long review again, I just said so many random things, I hope you can make some sense of any of this LOL

That scene with Kevin, Ben, and Rook at the bar was hilarious! I love the idea of Kevin being both a lightweight, AND an emotional drunk. Its hilarious. And Rook trying to act as their Sober Sitter while Ben and Kevin get sloppy and go to pieces around him. So funny. I really want to see more bro-scenes with these three. They are great together.

I liked to see Gwendolyn wishing to have a child. That's something I feel really sorry for her in canon. Gwen seems to me like a person who would want to have a normal family, much more than Ben (I see Ben as an adrenaline junkie, and Gwen as a more normal person). But even with Kai not being the best wife, Ben did have a much more stable family life than Gwendolyn with his wife and son, while Gwendolyn had to cope with Kevin's on-and-off insanity and (in canon) Devlin is not her child.

Considering the unstable nature of the osmosians that both Kevin and Gwen know very well, I'm wondering why they wouldn't consider adopting a child instead of having a biological one.

I really liked the hostility between Ben and Kevin, but maybe it's because I'm biased and used to think of them more as enemies than friends. Rook and Gwendolyn trying to stay neutral and play the peacemaker between the two of them was a nice touch too.

About Ken (Gwen's brother), I liked that he is gay in your fic, that way he is less generic and bland as a character. I personally think he is useless, and maybe even more for you than for me, since for you Ben is Gwen's brother figure. To be honest, without Ken in the picture, I myself could get Ben and Gwen being only childs and bonding with each other in a sibling way, but Ken's existence makes it very odd for Gwen to be closer to her cousin than to her brother.

LOL Gwendolyn was quite clueless if she didn't realized sooner that Kevin was acting moody because of the baby talk. A lot of men get uncomfortable with that even without the whole mental instability thing that Kevin has. But it was very funny to see her clueless about that.

It was very in-character to see Ben's awkwardness with Gwendolyn talking about her intimate moments with Kevin. In canon, almost every time Gwen and Kevin kissed in front of Ben, he got really uncomfortable. And of course, it's even more awkward for me, especially because I ship Bwen XD

Besides being clueless before, I liked to see Gwendolyn's smarter side displayed too, quickly realizing Devlin's features matched both her and Kevin. Kevin noticing Devlin's instinct (kicking him) matched his own actions in his youth was both a funny moment and a nice touch. I think they will know right away Devlin is their future son.

The idea of writing the final scene of the past chapter from a different POV worked really well too.

Again, a nice chapter. Of course, I can't appreciate it as much as a Gwevin shipper would, but I do enjoy your writing.

I liked that you picked up exactly from where Ken 10 left off! I didn't like what UAF did, throwing away the Ben 10K/Ken 10 future because it didn't fit their narrative, and I love that you are finding a way around it instead of ignoring it.

So, Devlin's troubled childhood is still intact, and that's great. Devlin is an interesting character (at least to me) because of his conflicts that would have been removed if he had a fluffly and loving childhood (to me, that would be the same as taking away the loss of his parents from Bruce Wayne). I loved that your Devlin is suspicious around new people, finds hugs to be awkward and always believe that people are only nice to him when they want something in return.

Gwendolyn trying to use Kevin's love of cars to bond with Devlin was a nice touch.

Ouch, I wonder how long it will take Devlin to realize that he is Gwendolyn's son, because 1) she is acting all motherly to him, 2) she had a "history" with Kevin, 3) he knows she has a child somewhere out there, AND 4) he has a mother he doesn't know.

Yes, Gwen has a terrible taste in men, definitely xD That's one of the main reasons that makes me think she could have ended up with her jerk cousin too if Ben 10 wasn't a kid's show xD

Kai is an absent mother, that's true. In Ken 10, she misses Ken's birthday party and her abscence isn't even adressed (I honestly thought she was dead or something like that). I think Gwendolyn is more of a mother figure to Ken than Kai. I guess both Ben and Gwen ended up with troubled people in the end, that's kinda sad.

I liked to see Devlin's fiery and rude personality, that's something I expect from him. And he "sacrificing" himself to save Gwendolyn shows he deep down is good. And I do think Devlin is a good person, better than his father.

Devlin's confusing with waking up in the past was very well handled.

Very intense start for this story.

Things to nitpick about:
The only mistake I was able noticed is a typo, "Wildemutt" instead of "Wildmutt". I thought Gwendolyn was quite rude to Ben sometimes, more than necessary, but I guess it's because she was meeting Devlin and she is not perfect.
