In response to your assertion about Malachi's money, you're both right and wrong. A typical scientist would not make more money than a pop star.

But Bulma isn't a typical scientist. She owns and runs Capsule Corp. You need to consider her as almost like a fusion of Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos. She's demonstrated on numerous occasions the ability to relatively easily generate paradigm technologies that would dominate the market more thoroughly than any pop star.

The capsule technology alone as developed by her father would be used by literally everybody everywhere. All transportation companies, all storage companies - they're all made obsolete by it. And that's only ONE piece of technology developed by capsule corp. How many hundreds of millions do you think they got developing the first intergalactic space ships and selling the designs to the government?

Well i certainly didn't expect this ending. Im very excited to see what Vegeta plans to do.

Sad at the beginning, but then slowly went became happier. Sad, happy, and then that open ending that tells us that there's more to come. I like where this chapter went. It was definitely a good ending.

Now for more specifics. First, Quint's story. Jeez, Malachi definitely was a little psychopath in the beginning. I wonder if that stuff from his childhood came back to him in Other World. I also liked how Malachi had kind of been the good guy this whole time, and Quint the bad guy, and then Quint tells his story and you realize Malachi's not completely innocent and Quint had his reasons. Definitely two sides to every story.

I like how Mrs. Brief isn't always completely ditzy in this fic. Like when she slapped Quint. Man, I wanna see her mad in the show. It'd be entertaining to see.

Poor Vegeta. Having to really feel the pain of loss for the first time. At least he has that document to go through. Might make him feel better.

The happy reminising was nice. And then them getting carried away with the band thing was funny. That whole scene was just nice. Made me feel good. Like hey, things aren't so bad, He always lives on in their memories.

About the sequel, I mainly suggested a one-shot collection to give you more room. I also didn't think you had anything specific in mind. By all means, if you did have another long story planned out as a sequel, do it! And hey, if you have any ideas about stuff taking place in the past, a character could always just be thinking back on it. But of course, you're free to do whatever, I'll certainly read it. Definitely make sure to give yourself some freetime, though. Don't wanna be holed up in your room writing for another year. XD

good story

I'm curious how you would write a sequel, you seemed to set yourself up for it with Vegeta at the end there. Honestly because I have read and grown attached to Malachi I would like to see Vegeta somehow redeem and save him. Ultimately your decision, I'm just too attached and like happy endings, that and with the way that ended it feels like there is more. Like I said I feel like you set yourself up for another arc. I do hope you continue.

Good story, well written...I'm just still a bit sad with the end

I know this is the ending you saw but were you hesitant to kill off Malachi when you realized the endgame of this story?

I think when the seriousness of his condition was mentioned, and how his heart was damaged and stuff... I think that's when I began thinking "This better not end with him dying." and hoping that the Laputa genes still in him would help out somehow.

Goddangit, man, why you gotta do this. I liked Malachi, and you just had to kill him. T_T

Can we at least get a glimpse of him in Otherworld? I want some kind of happiness here, man. Please. T_T Maybe the IT thing can be concluded that way? Malachi meeting Goku? Aaaaaa I don't know.

I wonder what Jenson's gonna do now, though. Malachi was his only actual family. How's his relationship with Bra gonna be?

For your mention of a part two, might I suggest a sort of one-shot collection for this story? You could wrap up loose ends in it, and in the future if you ever wanna write in this universe, maybe about things you wish you added in, you could do that and post it in the collection.

Anyways, don't break my heart too much with the next chapter.

WTF! I cant believe it ended like that! I really got into this story because Malachi was so determined to catch Vegeta, even as a human. I love that kind of intensity, and to see it end in such a way is so dissapointing. I really hope you do a part 2.

Wow, I was not expecting that but expecting that at the same time. I figured Bra with her premonitions would be able to prevent this from happening. Since the chapter that first showed the dream I was basically saying please don't let this end in tragedy. How sad I was really hoping for a happy ending too bad the alien inside him couldn't do anything dormant or not. Even still I hope for a miracle but I guess it seems unlikely now. Very good story otherwise it doesn't say complete yet so I guess I still may have hope? Who knows. God I feel really sad now...

Good Story

I like this very imaginative and creative as you don't normally see Vegeta reading a book,as he is far more interested in food and , the addition of this emphasised this story making it even better than others I have you involve the other Z fighters-especially Trunks.

Nice to see Malachi and Vegeta just talking about things. Seems like it's been awhile.

Poor Majuub. It's too late to try fighting Malachi. His heart would probably give out if he even tried.

Did Malachi just have a stroke? Or... a mini one? I hope he's seeing a doctor on a regular basis. I thought the next scene would be him waking up in a hospital.

I wonder if he'll ever talk to Bra and Jenson, now that he knows how bad their relationship is. Who knows if it can be repaired.

Jeez, Malachi had a tough childhood. He needs to see therapist, or maybe talk to Quint about things. It's nice that he was able to tell Mrs. Brief, though. Must've been nice to talk about things with someone, and she's such a sweetie, too.

I wonder if he'll just fall asleep like that. I can see it happening. XD

Really liked the conversation with Vegeta. Very interesting explanation of Malachi's techniques.
