This is such a dark twist on a mermaid au and a rare one where Tom isn't the mermaid or siren. This was a lot of fun and thank you for writing it!

Oh! Poor Hermione! But at least she doesn't realize there's a problem yet. I'm glad it ends here, I don't think I could take more than just the possibility of him throwing her away once she has completely lost her scales/usefulness to him. Great story!

Poor, innocent, sweet Hermione. I like how you build up the chemistry between her and Tom. I wonder if Tom was obsessed with Hermione or if he just wanted her scales? I hope to read the story again from Tom's POV just to know if he loved her. Really well written! Thank you for giving us such beautiful work!
