Having experienced a sexual assault, nowhere near as devastating as what you have written, about 40 years ago I can attest to the feelings Hermione is going through in the story following her rape. To this day I still have problems sitting or standing where someone can come up behind my left shoulder. I still have the notion that I'm unlovable even though I married (36 years this month) and had two children following my assault. I never told my parents because I felt that I did something wrong. I went for group counseling at the local victim witness center. Those feelings never go away and I never know when something is going to set me off.

I'd like to be a proofreader for your future stories or stories which you are currently writing. As I'm reading, I'm wanting to correct spelling and grammatical errors that your betas have not seemed to find and correct.

I love Lizzy! She's fun and seems like someone I want to be friends with. I don't know a lot of fanfictions with original characters (esp main characters), and I must say I'm always a bit apprehensive about it. But so far, really good job introducing her. She's great!

Can we talk about Chapter 13 for just a moment? I have been thoroughly enjoying the heck out of this fic but (and I have to say, I hope this changes as the story progresses) the way you wrote Lizzie's guilt over ending things with Draco makes it seem like that emotion supersedes the **actual sexual assault that occured**. I implore you as an author to go back and look at every scene that came after she told him "stop" and he STILL continued. Even through the haze of lust, she should not have had to BITE HIM to get him to stop. And writing it like it was just the regrettable "cherry on the cake" that broke them up was in poor form. Sexual assault is a pretty damn huge cherry! Honestly? Draco would have to show a lot more repentance for his actions rather than a blustery and then cold, formal apology. Lizzie was absolutely NOT at fault for this and she shouldn't feel guilty about ending things with a boy who couldn't respect her right to consent.
