I like that Mairon loved Aule and it wasnt that there was something particularly wrong with Almaren but rather Mairon wanted and needed MORE. That is much more significant for his character. Also I like that in this he knows on some level where his path is leading him. I love the style of this too, it leaves people having to think about what is going on and while keeping the flow smooth.

One note, Sauron seems to be wholly malign after Morgoths fall, Id have liked a hint that there was still a little light there. Sauron in that age was like Melkor in the beginning of time. Melkor was said to have convinced himself he wanted to rule and order all for the good of the world when he really wanted to rule for power and pride. Except Sauron really did want to order things for good but Morgoths corruption ate at him from the inside and soon he fell back into his old ways. At least to me thats how I see Mairon.

Sauron of all Ainur and Children led the most complicated life didn't he. I wish if only somehow he would have went with Eonwe...

This is honestly the best Silmarillion fic I've ever come across. I was drawn in deeper with each paragraph! I'm fascinated by Sauron and of his fall into darkness and I'd say you've captured his tale perfectly. The entire work flows so smoothly, plus the poetry side is put together beautifully! It must have taken so much time and dedication to come together, but I'm so glad it did!
