You should DEFINITELY take your own advice. The most important thing about a hobby is that you enjoy it and that it makes you feel better. Don't let your hobby weigh you down. If you no longer feel like continuing a story, move on. Anyone who criticizes you is selfish. And if they really want something you are not prepared to give, well, they'll just have to go write their own story ;-) Best of luck to you!

I would be fine with changes. I am really sorry that your grandma just died. You really are an amazing writer, and I would be fine with whatever. I like how you got the story going like that too. I'm just wondering what is going to happen to Hiccup because of the red death and he was alone? But about the depression thing, as I was writing this review and reading this A/N, I was almost audibly hearing the song by Sia, "Angel By the Wing." It is very beautiful and encouraging, and I think it will help you.

it's a little confusing

How did Toothless get back to Berk without his tail fin? And, to Gothi's house? Did he got help from another dragon in the Dragon's Nest?

I don't like the Hiccup-understanding-and-speaking-to-dragons stories either. This is really good. I like your comment about Gothi's reason for choosing Hiccup. I think she noticed and knew a whole lot more about how Hiccup became the best in dragon training. The movie and most stories don't show this. I also like how you have Astrid training a dragon after reading Hiccup's journals. Great story! I am looking forward to reading it.

Okay I really am not trying to be mean so I'm just going to put it in list form. 1. Maybe add a bit more details? It seems really rushed in some places , 2. Most everyone so far, especially Astrid is very OOC , 3. Tbh they were really fast at figuring things out about Hiccup and that's different from most that I've seen it just really doesn't help with the whole 'rushed' situation.
