I just read this fic now (Aug 2018) and I love it. You write so beautifully - a joy to read. Things were finally falling into place and then this cliffhanger (which I was waiting for to happen if I am honest). Matthew Taylor seems to ruin everything for us (well Krista really)...Please please continue this - it is awesome. Would so like to know what happens next - we must have a Japril endgame and a beautiful little girl added to their family.

Great chapter as always. Very well written with an exciting twist. I always knew Matthew was out there lurking somewhere. His fate needed to be resolved at some point. Still his introduction at this time was a surprise. Jackson was so happy. While April was finally moving on. His coming back shakes things up and brings new life into your story. There are so many different directions it can now go. This is a bittersweet and momentous occasion that will touch literally every one. I can't wait to see where you go from here.

The other shoe finally dropped! So devastating for all parties. April finally moved on, she’s pregnant with Jackson’s child and her assumed dead husband is alive! There are no right answers, just what you can and can’t live without. So much anticipation, can’t wait!

What a twist, feel sorry for everyone. Poor Jackson because his happy life just got really confusing. Poor April because she's going to feel so guilty and poor Matthew who's going to expect that April would have waited for him. Can't wait for the next chapter

I knew that Matthew would come back. I just hope that April divorces him soon and marries Jackson. Actually, I hope that Matthew has fallen in love with a different woman than April during the time he was missing and wants to marry and have a family with the other woman.

Your change to a more somber and serious tone made this chapter a more difficult read. Well written but I'm still processing it. I hurried though most of the biblical references. Fewer would have served your purpose just as well imo. Why did April and Jackson decide to announce her pregnancy as such a group event? Why were Matthews parents invited? Jackson doesn't know all these people but April does and could have anticipated the reaction they got. Matthews parents in particular were blindsided with what must have seemed like one more nail. They could have been informed privately since they have no relation to Jackson or the baby. His father was an ass but I still felt sorry for them. April's father discovered his backbone at last. Does he return to milquetoast when they get back home? Karen is the boss of him it seems. She either supports David or is a peace in the family at any costs type. We've never met David but his presence looms over every chapter where he's mentioned. Clearly, he's the dominate personality in the family right now. He gets his way with little effort. He would probably resent Jackson regardless of race. I'm torn about seeing him up close. Maybe he's more effective as the devil we don't see. :)
April and Jackson's relationship still feels stuck in limbo. They are happy and expecting but where is the procession. Catherine pointing out that this would be his second child out of wedlock struck me in a negative way. It's not his fault but :-( Jackson!

I feel like I always forget to leave a review (so sorry about that!) but I really adore this story. I loved that bit where Jackson read the Bible verses. This whole universe this lovely and I just adore it. I Think we are all in desperate need of good storytelling these days :D

I thought this chapter was really well-written. I hope Jackson and April have a baby girl. However, I do think that April should cut all ties with Matthew's parents. Of course, they aren't going to be happy for Jackson and April. I also think April's mom behavior stinks-she knows that Libby's husband, David, is wrong and she needs to be more supportive of April. I don't care how religious their family is-I hope that Libby and David get divorced. I truly think it is time for April to truly get on with her life by either having Matthew be declared dead or by divorcing him. I'd like to see Jackson and April get married and legally adopt each other's sons.

It's a really good story...though u can put some hotness...u know! ;)
