Many J/C fans are so anti-Seven that they wish her to be villified or hurt in every post-Endgame story. Personally I never wanted to see her get hurt even though the thought of C/7 made my stomach churn.

You've captured just the right mix here. Gentle Chakotay who can't let Kathryn go and a stronger Seven, empowered by their return. I'm glad you wrote it this way.
