as always, it's fun to read your stories! very good writing, here. it was surprisingly easy to keep track of everything and i still felt all the emotion. my main curiosity is what did the gate take?

When you said Hughes!Lives, this is certainly not what I expected. This is just worse than him actually being dead.
But honestly, this was written so well... Even with dialogue alone, it was so easy to understand what was going on that I could imagine it like it was right in front of me. Elicia not remembering was the part that made me just break down, and Roy and Ed's conversation was just... I have no words.
A perfect place to end the whole thing at, and great work! (though I think the title could do with some work; it seems a bit too blunt to me)
I hope you find the time to write more.

Well, that was something. I liked that it was all dialogue. It's like from Hughes' point of view. Which was probably the point. But. Yeah. :)
Sooo something clearly happened to Roy at the end. Like, something bloody. He's blind again, but did Truth just gouge his eyes out this time? Yeesh. I'm sure he'll be fine though. So all is well for once~

I hope you don't wake up tomorrow and decide that you don't like this thing anymore, cuz it was real good. And thanks for letting me know, because otherwise, It would have noticed for a very long time.
