GrimaxNaga chapter 26 . 10/29/2018 Very beautifull story. The main characters are interesting and the concept of a strong disease is a good idea. It's pleasant to see the past of the character through their dreams. |
Street Ruffian chapter 25 . 9/24/2018 So I've just read through everything you've got so far and I've got to say it's pretty great so far I feel the divergent parts are entertaining and so far hold up as part of a actual story, not to mention it helps your fic stand out a bit more story wise. As for characters well you're giving everyone as a whole more screen time then the games so kudos, also maybe I'm reading the wrong fics but I don't think I've read any that have Felicia play as prominent of a role which I found out I don't mind. Also this comes from some who's Hinoka Trash but there isn't enough Hinoka x Avater/Corrin fics so that's something else I can like about this fic. |
Temporal King chapter 22 . 9/19/2018 IM BACK! God damn it Xenoblade! Seriously, I can fully understand why Chuggaconroy glorifies that game, it's a masterpiece to say the least and now Torna the Golden Country recently got released and I haven't even started new game plus yet, top that off with Doom, Zelda, Splatoon and many other games, the Switch is a true time killer. Anyways, good chapter as always and you also managed to write it in a way that avoided battle, not bad at all, surprisingly there isn't much to say about it honestly. Awe, Silas and Kamui. Really, Stahl though? I don't know, he reads more like Chrom to me, brave, little serious, stern, Stahl is just...abive average, which is pretty much his entire character lmao. Also I figured you would say status is a low priority currently and honestly it should be, at least for now. It does need to be addressed and explored when the time comes but now isn't really the right time, heck we haven't truly gotten into the meat of things and the ships barely even started, but I will say this, Hinoka and Silas are goi g to have one hell of a life changer, Hinoka as Nobrian royalty and Silas and Hoshidan and Nohrian royalty, top it all off with quite the sizable family they are marrying into, that's going to be quite fun to write I'd imagine. Anyways, I hope it dosent take a million years for the next review, on to the next chapter...unless my Switch distracts me again. |
SoulEvangile chapter 24 . 7/27/2018 Don’t deny your feelings Hinoka, you know them to be true. Hehe, nice little filler chapter before the battle which I’m guessing will be next chapter. The way you’re doing the Tactics with Felicia using the excuse of being taught alongside Kamui and Tatsu was probably the best way overall. And Hinoka, context, you have 3 brothers. You need to explain to the poor girl which one you mean and now a new pairing has been created because of it. Peach-Haired Shiro is gonna be a thing now I’m guessing. Looking forward to the next chapter too. |
Pengaius chapter 24 . 7/27/2018 Alright another great chapter of Sick dragon, Sword lady. |
Agent of Chaos 112 chapter 23 . 6/10/2018 Well, good job as always. I wouldn't fret over the gaps between updates, will keep coming back regardless. Interesting to see the trio show up... Very interesting... |
Greyjedi449t chapter 23 . 6/8/2018 Looking forward to the next chapter |
Guest chapter 22 . 5/25/2018 I was rereading Retained Memories and I got to the part where Sakai said he saw Owain and Morgan's brand. So where is Morgan's brand supposed to be? |
saber007 chapter 22 . 5/6/2018 Gotta say, your two fire emblem stories are amazing! There's so much character building in your stories that's not present in the games, even side characters have relevancy. Is Kaze going to be Kamui's retainer since Tatsu has Jakob and Felcia? I was hoping that Kamui would end up with Inigo, simply because of the Naga connection. How amazed would the royal family be if their in-law could actually turn into a dragon? It would also cause quite the conundrum for Inigo when it came time for him to return home permanetly. He would have to decide between a world where he has a place and family or a world where he has family, but feels like an intruder. |
GuestWithIdeas chapter 22 . 4/27/2018 Pretty good chapter all things considered, any time I come across a fates story it reminds me of the wasted potential the actual game was. The subtle changes you've put in proves it, I mean when Kilma explains Garon's tragic past it makes the guys choices seem a little more understandable. And pairing Kamui with Silas sounds like a good idea to me, I haven't seen a lot of stories that pair them up, people focus to much on the royals. |
Greyjedi449t chapter 22 . 4/21/2018 Love the chapter, and looking forward to the next obe |
SoulEvangile chapter 22 . 4/20/2018 Yeah I had Gunnthra on my team during that chapter too...talk about awkward. I liked the reference to Skadi, the Norse goddess of winter, also the name of Fallen Takumi’s bow...weird. I’m perfectly fine with Laslow appearing first, if I’m honest with myself. He’s my favourite character in all of Fire Emblem. While not as relatable as Stahl or Silas, I can’t help but feel a certain kinship with him as a character and his honesty. Though I do have to ask, who’s he being paired with. Since I don’t think there is even a thing as a bad Laslow/Inigo Support across Awakening or Fates. |
Temporal King chapter 21 . 3/26/2018 And with that I'm finally caught up. Before I begin with the review something about your response to another reader regarding pairs, I agree that Hinoka is rare and your story does stick out a lot better and as I've said in the past your originality is what makes you an amazing writer but Camilla and Elise aren't as seen much as you think. Azura definately, there was a nasty period were readers would try to force the pair and use canon as an excuse and that didn't go over well. Camilla and Elise is very rare, more so the latter, Fates isn't written for very often and many that are written focus either on Azura romance or Conquest without any romance developed and the Conquest stories I know of haven't been updated in almost a year. Anyways, so Tatsu is is Fort Jinya, not surprising, they did turn it into a make shift hospital in Birthright and that's were Birthright starts so I assume that's were Tatsu will awake, for better or worse that remains to be seen as his Dragon form did quite a lot of damage. I also love the re-worked backstory with Silas, given how Garon is there was no way Silas would get out of that alive, then again the supports say that it was the guards that was going to kill him and it was only through the avatar shielding Silas with his body that he was banished from the fortress. Your take on it feels a lot better and introduces Silas in a much more professional manner. I also see that Elise isn't with Kamui, it dosent bother me given she's my OTP for Fates, but I find this more belivable given that Garon wouldn't be blind to her just vanishing for multiple days, so this works out extremely well, but this this does make me wonder on how Kamui will succeed in her mission with just herself and Silas. Also, I'm down for Silas being the Prince of Hoshido and Nohr, lmao, bet he'll never see that coming. Just like in RM you need to acknowledges in-laws and royal status, it allows for some good character development and interaction and in Tatsu's case makes Hinoka see that he still considers the Nohrian's his family. I feel that Hinoka would reject the idea of marrying into the Nohrian royal family but I don't think Tatsu would take kindly to that, if she wants a marriage she'll have to accept her new Nohrian status otherwise he could pursue someone who's accept both his families as in-laws, not just prefer one and single out the other, not gonna lie that's going to be extremely interesting to handle when the time comes. That's all for now, feels great to be all caught up, thanks bud for all the hard work you put into the story and if you ever get a chance try Xenoblade Chronicle's 2, you might have another fanfic in the works if you give that game a shot, it's one of the best selling Switch games for a reason (sold over a million copies in under a month of its release, lord knows how much it sold today). Until next time :) |
Temporal King chapter 20 . 3/26/2018 One more chapter to go :) Not much to say on this one in all honesty, basically more detailing of the plan to save both families and Kamui's talk with Garon, although I do wish there was a little more uneasiness from Kamui to show she isn't comfortable talking about her Hoshidan family like this, like she feels guilty and hates it but it needs to be done to save everyone and so she can properly enjoy Hoshido when peace is accomplished. Other than that though it's really good, again there isn't much to be said for this one and it's pretty much what you'd expect, so great job all around :) |
Temporal King chapter 19 . 3/21/2018 Curse you Xenoblade Chronicles 2, why do you have to be the best damn console game I've ever played in my life? So now we have the choice...well I would call it a choice if Kamui didn't do anything to not get kidnapped, admittedly I have some personal pet peeves with this, it's not the story or chapter far from it, it's what Kamui did, she allowd herself to be captured, she wanted to go back to Nohr, so technically she betrayed Hoshido. A lot of Conquest related stories always try desperately to find a way for a justifiable reason to side with Nohr, unfortunately alot of writers underestimated how badly written a Conquest was and therefore a lot of Conquest retelling's have went abandoned, I give a lot of A's for effort regarding their will to try and make Conquest better but it just can't be done unless it go's into Birthright/Revelations or an evil avatar. Now don't get me wrong, I understand why it needed to be done, one twin handles things in Hoshido while the other handles thing in Nohr and slowly merge their armies together, I get that and Kamui is the face of Conquest and the male avatar of the face of Birthright, which is usually the opposite in fanfics. The problem is that like most Conquest stories or things relating to Conquest nobody feels guilty about the choice. Kamui wanted to go back to Nohr, wants to betray Hoshido in a sense and she didn't even get to acknowledge her own mother like Tatsu did, she isn't feeling guilty about leaving behind her 2nd family the way she should and even then I don't think she has truly accepted them at this point in time. What got to me though was Xander's speech and how Kamui reacted, that's what urked me. Does it matter? Seriously, did Xander really just ask that? You see the difference between this and RM is that Sekai had no family to fall back on be it blood or adopted, he was by every definition alone until he married his Princess, the twins in this story has a family they didn't even know exsisted prior to their kidnapping and they knew he Nohrian's all their life, they had a family from the beginning no matter what. So let me answer Xander's question with a series of my own. Does it matter that you lied? Does it matter that Garon gave Tatsu that scar? Does it matter that your father killed the twins father and kidnapped them? Does it matter that a grieving mother was denied her right to see her children grow and constantly wondered if they were safe? Does it matter that you were training the twins to fight against the people they should've been leading? Does it matter that Kamui and Tatsu could'v killed their own siblings and mother if given the chance and still didn't know who they were? Tatsu almost slit Ryoma's throat after all. Does it matter that Tatsu was forced to watch his mother die? To answer this, yes, it matters to Sumeragi, it matters to Mikoto and the Hoshdian siblings and it matters to both Tatsu and Kamui. Now don't get me wrong, I feel that Xander's speech has merit and truth behind them, but him saying it dosent matter is like saying he dosent care that they were stolen from their Hoshidan family and Mikoto died when he should and Kamui feeling touched by his words is NOT how many people would react, they would feel mostly angry and then touched given that Kamui has finally confirmed it and she didn't even get to call Mikoto mother which is something she should feel guilty about. Long story short, Kamui's reaction just isn't belivable to me and the avatar quickly forgiving his/her Nohrian siblings is getting old to me. Now, I feel that you could fix this with Tatsu asking the questions I just asked cause it's only a matter of time before Tatsu see's his Nohrian siblings, he is the smartest person next to Leo, there is a reason he is known as The Cunning. I don't think Tatsu would get angry and while Kamui fell for this easily I don't think Tatsu will, not after calling Mikoto mother and watching her die, he's just asking the obvious questions that need to be asked while. Making it clear that him and Kamui love both their kingdoms and families, but he won't abandon anyone and him staying in Hoshido could benefit them all. Ell, that's all for this chapter, got 2 more to read, just remember that these are just my own THOUGHTS and OPINIONS, maybe I'm right, maybe I'm wrong, these are just my opinions, nothing more nothing less. |
