Hmmm... I'm not sure if your explanation of Shirou's mentality and why it's the way it's works... he has a hero complex mixed with survivors guilt dialed to eleven... with how he is mentally you can't just explain why going after that dream isn't a good idea...

Even when faced with what he would become at the end of the road he didn't change his mind...

There's no way anyone... not even his father could convince him otherwise... the only way he doesn't go on the path of that dream is if he never hears about it in the first place...

Well maybe he would if it was the only way to save someone precious to him... that's what happened in the HF route...

I'm really enjoying the story, and it's a nice variation on the standard FSN plotline. I'm looking forward to the next update.

Is this the part where where Archer shows up and say that is hell your walking to?

It just occurred to me that wouldn't Shirou learn Archer's identity from seeing Kanshou and Bakuya? He projected them and wielded them, meaning their history would be apparent right? He can identify the identity of the weapon user so that would kind of ruin the masquerade right?

Also, assuming the oft repeated (though admittedly repeatedly ignored) rule that a Master/Human cannot face a Servant is true, Ilya and Shirou should be super dead. Unless Archer was purposely holding back, that still leaves Shirou breaking the rule...which again is admittedly ignored by damn near everyone including Nasu. So this point is moot, ignore this and the above if you explain either points later.

So I just found this story today, and I must say that I'm absolutely floored by how engrossing this is. Fantastic imagery, characters act within all expectations (minus most of the idiocy found in most works), grammar is superb (immensely helps in keeping me engaged while reading), and the plot flows so smoothly.

I honestly can't say I have any complaints beyond being a little confused at Shirou being able to effortlessly understand Lancer's spear seeing as it's not a sword.

Still, I look forward to your next update!

Beside using Arthur instead of Arthuria gimme a very good impression. Not to mention put Rin as main POI also a great idea. The story wont get boring and to see her admired and proud with Shirou and Shirou's habit to teasing the genius in Mage world never fail me and its hard to not enjoy it.

This new chapter is so great. Shirou/Rin conversation bout his abilities and how well Shirou's character in this chapter are super nice. If this story bring us to Shirou is the grail instead of Sakura (I hope not Sakura at all) it will be a great Fanfiction I ever read. As for now I cant wait to see how you're gonna play with the Grail War between Servants and Master. (tbh I always waiting for this FF to update and every chapter is worthy) btw Great Chapter and I love it~

Well, I do believe you managed to capture the main characters quite well. I guess as the plot goes on you will have more ways to show them in-depth. We are not that far yet, so it is more than adequate.

Hey man just saying. Didn't really mean any offense, and I'm sorry about that by the way, but the fact that you have those three stories in your fave list means that people are likely to call you out on your criticisms. You might wanna erase them to avoid future misunderstandings.

And as for the author of this story, Snarker has a point. You may wanna consider them. Shirou and "Arthur" are a tad boring compared to their canon selves in Nasuverse.

To reviewer Steam : Oh, so you now attack me just because I'm too lazy to delete those fanfictions from my favorite list cause it's been 2 years since I faved them as back then I'm still naive? And yes, I am a hypocrite, normal humans are always a hypocrite, the only difference is how much the hypocrisy a person can have. And while the boring and predictable point is correct, exactly because I read those Gary-stu story in the past that I can see one here in Shirou who almost know every shit he doesn't in the original series and Rin who acts like he is amazing and all.
