Reviews for London Calling
pletchko chapter 1 . 9/4/2019
As someone directly affected by the Manchester attack (back in 2017), I’d like to say that you do a beautiful job of portraying the feelings of helplessness and panic that accompany those kind of awful events.

Alex’s reaction is spot on, and so accurate, with his desire to do something in a situation where nobody (unless you’re a secret MI6 spy) can do anything.

Thank you so much for writing 3

This is a great story. Based upon a real attack but you can still give it the respect it deserves to the innocents that lost their lives. That is a hard line to accomplish but you did very well. Thank you

I don't really know how to review a story like this, but I'll do my best.

Of course, I am horrified by what's happened in London, and all my sympathy goes out to everyone affected.

Moving onto the story, I'm glad to see this wonderful addition to the fandom. I like the details of Alex's so-far normal-ish life, and I like your writing style. I think you covered the topic in a nice, appropriate manner. So, thanks for writing this, and I hope the venting works :)

PS. I see you like Septimus Heap - I do, too, although I haven't read the books in years, so I've forgotten most of what happened...

Thank you. I don't even know what to say. No words can describe the anger and sadness I hold within myself. Honor the dead and respect the fallen. Please do not portray the Muslim faith in a bad light, for only a small amount are radicals.
Youya chapter 1 . 3/22/2017
I know the story was overall horrible. (EMOTIONALLY) -very well written- I do feel a little offended, not that it's my right, that SCORPIA was mentioned, as this was a real act of terrorism. I do, however, realize that SCORPIA fit in to the story. My heart goes out to all of London, and everyone who is affected.
Nightshade2412 chapter 1 . 3/22/2017
I think the best word to describe your story is meditative - not much happens, but there are emotions colouring the tone. I can feel the confusion, shock and panic. Or maybe it's so powerful because of my own feelings. I only know the basics so far, but seeing that our PM called a Cobra meeting feels weird as my only experience of that is in Alex Rider. So I can see why you chose him.

There was maybe one typo, when you wrote "on" not "own", somwhere near the start.

Well anyway, let's band together and be stronger because of it, not weaker. And on that note, keep writing!
