The Summer POV of the same scene was a nice touch. Describing how she felt and her thoughts throughout the whole ordeal were crushingly sad to read. It makes sense that she saw Morty that way, even though the canon never expanded on it too well. Really good job on it though, that's what fanfiction is for!

You know, I imagine that Morty was Summer's best friend (even if she didn't like to admit it). That makes this chapter more heartbreaking. To imagine Summer losing the only person she could really confide in, trust, and love...

Whoa holy crap Jerry punched Rick out :( while understandable it didnt seem right or fair but Rick's know it all attitude deserves it sometimes. Ive already read the fanfic this is a prequel of so I can't even ask if everyrhings going to turn out ok because it isnt. Oh man...

Ouch all around. That was a rough read. Really nicely written though, I could feel the character wrath from Jerry rather noticeably. Despite the content and the nature of the story, I still managed to enjoy reading this. Can't wait for the next installment and keen to see what you have planned next.

Jeez. I didn't think Jerry had the guts to punch Rick. Then again, if he got my son killed, I'd probably do the same thing. I wonder how the family's gonna cope (especially Rick. I wonder where "he is wanted." I have reason to suspect death.).

Although I got to see the draft, the final version of this did not disappoint. Absolutely astounding writing there, and the pacing was 100% on point. I couldn't have asked for a better snippet, and there's more coming? Hell to the yes! I look forward to seeing you continue this.
