Found this fic and decided to give it a read just last night, and I must say that it is excellent so far. The way that Alice gets Lockheart to burn his own quiz is utterly hilarious and inspiring.

Overall this story is a fantastic read that even once I finish catching up to the current chapter I will still be looking forward to seeing more of.

I did enjoy the story, however, I feel that the story was written into itself. There is very little direction or apparent interest in continuing the story for as long as it would be to finish the fic.

Basically, the story pace is halting and seems to sporadically follow canon. It then diverges when the author wants to add something new.

While I really like the new additions, the crux of the crossover really... The attempts to follow canon really don't do the story any favors. In all honesty, pushing for Alice to be more fae than witch would have been a better decision in a few respects. However, that decision makes perfect sense given the established background.

If this story would be improved, there is only one point to make. Present an overarching goal. The books have Voldemort being the main antagonist. The threat lasts for seven books! This story has the majority of the wizarding world (Tom's army) neutered by the goblins in naught but a handful of chapters. The order of the flaming turkeys was crippled from the same force of bankers.

At this pointonce the school is searched top down, two horcruxes, any number of curses, a basilisk, innumerable acromantulae as well as incriminating evidence will be found. The deus ex machina that is the soul Magics Alice is using will let her create some form of Riddle catcher, and then by Harry's third year, said villian will be vanquished.

That's the only problem, the conflict does not present a challenge.

I hate being right...

So, three thoughts here. Firstly, good on you for this story idea. Alice in Harry Potter is a *fascinating* concept, and using the mirror to get her there was exceptionally clever. Secondly, the dialogue. It's extremely stilted and formal. Very few, if any, people speak like that, much less 12 year olds. Now it worjs for Alice, but not for Harry and Hermione, and it doesn't match Dumbledore's displayed speech patterns from canon, either. And thirdly, it seems to be going for the tired "dark lord Dumbledore" cliche which is, to be blunt, a significant red flag.

All in all, i look forward to seeing where you take this.

I sincerely hope that you start updating this again soon... not enough McGee Alice fics on this site that actually still update.

This is a really brilliant story. I enjoyed it from start to finish. Too bad I only discovered it now. I hope you'll update this when you have time.

Funny how Malfoy didn't seem to skip a beat about how Voldemort is a half-blood by the name of Tom Riddle. Wonder if his brain will register that fact at a later time or if he already knew.

To think, if Harry had simply asked to know whether or not Gringotts sends out bank statements and how to avoid having them falling into the hands of the Dursley family upon his first visit to Vault 687, then he could have started something that would snowball into a revolution. The best part would be the fact he did it unintentionally.

I love Alices erudite speech. It's a real treat, without being overly archaic.
