Thought the story was beautiful. Perfect until I got to frank. Frank? Eww. To each their own. I know you did research and all so it's all correct historically but no. Franklin would have been more palatable. Francis. She could have done Emily and made it Emile. I ok resting easily knowing that no one actually named their kid frank.

Luke is such a generous and kind person, a bit slow to process sometimes, but genuine and loving and fiercely loyal. Rory was so fortunate that she was with him when it was time to go to the hospital and have her baby. Sorry that Luke and Lorelai lost their baby, but Rory's baby, Frank Lucas, will be a great grandson. thanks for such a heart warming story. Good with the Luke characterization. Keep writing for us.

The miscarriage story really adds a layer of believability to the non-communication about kids over the past decade that AYITL presented. I could see something like this happening, and they were both so hurt over it they just didn't really talk about it after that.

Paris was perfectly Paris in this, and I really felt for Lorelai having to miss the birth. Really proud of Luke for stepping in and doing what is needed for his girls, even if he does hate hospitals. Wonderful job!

This was sooo sweet and lovely, I can't really put it into words. I love the Luke-and-Rory-relationship and I this did it great justice. The full circle is broken and it's a boy too. Yay! And he's got Lucas as his middle name, so thoughtful of Rory.
I especially liked the backstory of Lorelai and Luke's try to have baby, and then lose it. That added a whole layer of depth to the story. (yes, we all wished something like that would have been addressed in the revival...)
My two highlights in this story: Gypsy telling Luke to keep breathing - hilarious! Gotta love the townies. And Paris Freakin' Geller is just the best whenever she's around.
Oh, and thanks for at least a short mention of April, so many people forget about her, it's nice to see her somehow included.

They're always just an unexplored relationship, they are such and family and represented well here. And it makes so much more sense that Lorelai an Luke almost had a child rather than what happened in the revival
