Putting characters through immense suffering is how you develop as an author, whether it's messing with an OC or adding your own little twists and turns to another franchise's character!
All in all, I'm really liking the premise of this story so far (but I still have like 3 more chaps to read, oops)! The only critique/criticism I have at this point is to maybe have a liiittle bit more flow in this chapter. Perhaps going a little more into detail on what Lance is thinking about during the chapter?
