Guest chapter 6 . 8/3 This is a good story, but there are several flaws. Naruto is a happy go-lucky idiot at most times, but in battle, Naruto becomes dangerously serious, I don't remember ever seeing him joke and act cheery in any kind of battle, especially when the lives of his 'precious people' are at stake, take when Deidara was mocking Gaara for example, Naruto went straight two-tailed on his ass, be blew past basic jinchuriki mode, blew past one-tail mode, and went straight to two-tail, and pounded his clay clone to mush. Naruto is also not as forgiving as everyone makes him out to be, he actually NEVER forgave Pein, he even mentions at one point that he still hated Pein, but felt that he would be disrespecting Jiraiya's legacy if he wallowed in his hatred, so although he didn't kill Pein, he didn't forgive him either, and technically he didn't have to kill Pein because he had already pushed Pein to the brink of death, Pein was going to die, whether or not he used Outer Path. Naruto also never forgave Obito, he says as much, he was just more pissed that Black Zetsu toyed with Obito's emotions than he was pissed at Obito's crimes, so he never forgave Obito, he just focused on a bigger picture. In Boruto, Naruto is also shown to show a lot of resentment towards the Otsutsuki clan for the turmoil they've placed the world in. While Naruto may not have offed Shido, because Naruto seems to show hesitance to kill, he wouldn't have forgiven Shido for what he did to that student, and once he learns what Shido did to Rei, Naruto will be hostile towards him. I'm not suggesting Shido be killed off, he's the main antagonist after all, but having Naruto suddenly be cheerful and sing praises to Shido is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overdoing it. Also, Naruto was seen to show some resentment towards Sasuke at the end of Part II, in the epilogue when he hands a departing Sasuke his headband, that look wasn't a friendly look, but by time Boruto came around, Naruto was in his thirties, I'm sure over the years he finally got over it, but it's not like immediately after all of Sasuke's bullshit Naruto was like "HEY BUDDY!". No, there WAS resentment there, it's one of the reasons I DO like the Boruto series, I just hate Boruto himself, however I like seeing how everyone changed after the war, especially Naruto, who's become more calm, collected, and seeing him now sharing the same relationship with Sasuke that Sarutobi had with Danzo, makes it look like everything's come full circle. |
jexngs chapter 6 . 7/6 I’m glad that I found this story even if it won’t be continue. You doing a good job. Thank you anyways |
liculle chapter 6 . 4/26 Duuuuuuude. Hot damn. First of all, I really love this. I'm all for a non-nerfed Naruto most of the time, tbh. But I can definitely agree that it would really need a lot of jumping through hoops and a lot of seemingly illogical events/decisions being made to "even up the stakes" so to speak. If he still had ez chakra access, he could just shadowclone and boom, ez. The entire conflict of HotD (i.e. surviving the zombie apocalypse? Not sure if there's more to the plot, I didn't really finish the anime lmao) goes poof. You can probably shift the plot into the direction of actually curing the zombies or finding the cause if he could use chakra easily. Which could actually be where things would go after he gets his chakra back. I saw a bit of that with the malicious nature energy that Kurama sensed. As well as there being some hinting(?) that whatever caused it came with Naruto. I can definitely see a possible "big bad" or "powers that be" scenario being uncovered eventually. But yeah I think you made a great decision in not giving Naruto full access to his powers, as a full-powered Naruto just wouldn't fit the setting in a way that still gave some suspense to readers. Instead letting him access more strength at a drawback will just let you set up some more high-stake scenes later on. Like sure, we know he's gonna be fine, but he can't truly assure everyone else around him will be; not like if he had free access to chakra, at least. I think you did a great job with setting up Naruto for this setting, so kudos to you for that. I also think you got Naruto's core character right, despite what others say about it. That's all that matters imo. All in all, I really enjoyed this story, short as it was (six chapters ;-;). Favorited and followed. I'm hoping that you might come back to this someday since I REALLY wanna see where you take things from here. But until then, cheers! Loved it. |
Guest chapter 5 . 10/30/2019 No criticism intended, but I think you and many others are a bit mistaken and over-exaggerating Naruto's willingness to forgive others. Although it hasn't implicitly been stated, Naruto seems to innately know WHO can be redeemed and who can't. For example Naruto has shown NO forgiveness towards Madara, Kaguya, and most of Akatsuki outside of Itachi and the Ame Orphans (One of the latter of which is Naruto's kin). Naruto went after both Madara and Kaguya with the intentions of killing them from the very start of his battle, otherwise he wouldn't have used Rasenshuriken or any of his elemental Rasengans, he also had no qualms with killing Kakuzu or Hidan when the latter was reincarnated, he attacked Deidara like a rabid animal, and he has shown no intent to forgive Orochimaru even in the aftermath of the Fourth Shinobi World War. This proves Naruto does not forgive everyone, keep in mind Naruto has the ability to feel peoples intentions and it was mentioned that he actually had a slight version of that ability his whole life, which he explained was why he could sense people's hate towards him. I think he bases his forgiveness on that ability, he could sense the turmoil in those like Itachi, Obito, and Sasuke, he could sense even though Zabuza was a traitor he had done so for the greater good, but when it comes to the likes of Orochimaru, Madara, and Kaguya he senses nothing but petty. That said, I doubt Naruto would be forgiving to someone like Shido. |

TeraBaapBSDK chapter 3 . 4/3/2019 i must say i am pretty disappointed in you, naruto was never a kind who will sacrifice other people for his so called loved ones, but you clearly stated in this that naruto 'abandoned' other people just for his loved ones and starting chatting with them instead of saving other people in the school. GOOD THING YOU STOPPED WRITING THIS SHIT |
TeraBaapBSDK chapter 1 . 4/3/2019 that first part, i must say was so well described that my perverted mind was imagining things, lol sorry i knew it was fighting scene |

Tempest-Rage chapter 2 . 10/29/2018 it is relative, if it is long-range travel, Hiraishin is faster than Naruto, if it is in battle or short-range than Naruto is faster :I |
