I really hope you come back to this story.. it is good, but there are so many things that need to come together. I’m wondering about the timeline, it doesn’t seem realistic, but I’m not a writer. I really hope you find your way back and let us see where this journey goes. As a Jemily fan I am wondering how they will make their way back to each other. So many questions.

But, that’s the mark of a great writer, someone who writes what seem like insurmountable challenges and then weaves the story around them like they are but a bump in the road. I believe you may just be this type of writer. So, I say to you, please let the journey continue!

I think this is amazing! Watching the show, I never wold have thought something like this could materialize...but then it's what fantasy is all about :) Bravo!

I hope JJ listens to Emily and finally tells Will to leave. I bet Garcia can help her actually get the goods on Will so she JJ can have the upper hand with him, especially concerning Henry. Sounds to me that Emily would do anything for JJ and Henry.

I can't promise I'll stick with the story; I'm not a parent so I don't know if I can truly understand what makes a woman stay with a guy because of a child, especially with what you've already revealed about how she feels about him and his bad habits and suspected cheating. Especially when she is intelligent and capable and has her own career and support system. More than anything I hate when writers say its for Henry because he needs his dad. What kind of parental example is Will in most of these stories? Not good. And with the job of the BAU, they know how kids turn out when they grow up in bad homes (this may not be the case in your story, but more generally in a lot of CM fic where Will is worse than just a jerk).
I just don't see how you're going to make JJ staying with him another four years (minimum) believable. But it's your story, of course.

This last review is exactly the kind I have been looking for. I do have a few things to say to the guest who left the review, and since there is no acct. to reply to I will do it this way. I hope no one minds.

1st- I did not write the story Allegheny you refer to, though I wish I had if it was good enough to read 2 different versions. ;)

2nd- Thank you! I want this type of review so badly. How else would I know where I am going off track or losing my girls? You are correct, this last portion of the story is a memory from 2010 and yes Emily leaves angry in 2014. That much has already been made clear. What I have not decided, or written I suppose, is exactly what makes Emily leave. Is it because JJ won't leave Will? Or is it something else she chooses over Em? I don't know yet. I don't like canon much but I do use it for my framework. What I do know is I never want JJ to seem "less than" anyone. She is a strong woman who only fears losing her child over all else, to me that is her sole reason for staying with Will. If I am giving the perception that JJ is weak, I apologize and will correct that in the coming chapters. She, like Prentiss, is anything but weak.

3rd- I truly hope you hang in there with us and see if I manage to do justice to these wonderful women. I will sure as hell give it my damnedest!

I've always liked your writing, and remember reading Allegheny (both versions). I was glad to see a new story; however this is one of those stories where you get so annoyed with JJ it's hard to stick with it.
Unless I'm confused, its 2010 and they're talking about the weekend away and her leaving Will. And yet we know that doesn't happen (since Prentiss left angry in 2014), and there's never enough good reason why in these type of stories where he's a jerk. It just makes JJ seem "less than" when she stays with him.
Just wish you had not stuck with canon in terms of her and Will lasting more than a fling. There is other drama that could fuel the story besides that. Just them working together and Emily being so private and closeted and older would make a good story.
Anyway, I'll stick with it another chapter or two, but not sure how you can make JJ staying with him all this time understandable, sympathetic.

Will is an asshole. I will never be able to figure why they paired him with JJ in the show. There is zero chemistry. He is unprofessional and just not worthy of someone like her. How I wish Emily had left him with that bomb.
Emily, on the other hand is perfection personified!
