Its been a while since I read something so good! The whole soul mate mark is not really my thing but its interesting to read about mismatched marks! I like that it blends so well with the original story and still makes it unique! I really enjoyed reading it!

I will admit "soulmate marks" fic aren't my cup of tea, I tend to find them as copouts and frankly rather creepy at times given pairs involved. But the summary got me, Ichigo thinking it's all BS, marks not matching? Hell when I got in and Orihime thinks it's rather silly is something. You got yourself a reader

I had read the first chapter on tumbler and promptly saved it. Imagine my surprise when I saw it here too and that it had a second chapter.

I liked "...there's a Rukia-shaped hole in the fabric of his world..."

I don't think I've ever read a fic where Inoue is referred to as "debris." *chuckle* She pretty much summed up how I feel about this whole soulmate mark. I have no romantic bone in my body but this whole concept reeks of superficiality. But I like how her mark is a rain drop. Very fitting.

So the whole time I'm thinking Uryuu's mark is also a rain drop. It would explain why he's having an internal hissy fit and why he didn't want her asking what his mark is. Then he says it's an arrow and I was like, "Huh? Oh well." *shrugs* Then it turns out he actually is lying and he probably does have a rain drop mark. Poor guy. To have to listen to your soulmate and the girl he actually loves pine for another guy who absolutely has no romantic interest in her...just sad and awkward. Inoue, to be fair, isn't as pine-y and "Kurosaki-kun"-ish as she was in the manga, which is a good thing. Can't wait to see her reaction to finding out Uryuu's real mark.

Uryuu vs. Jidanbo is one of my fave fights. Uryuu looked so smooth and cool fighting the big guy. Glad you included it.

The thought of having those marks as symbols for your supposed soulmate is disturbing. Sure it takes the "work" out of love and romance but think of the pressure. What if you're completely incompatible with that person? *smh*

I think Ichigo and Rukia are pretty much in character. I could feel both of their internal struggle to deal with their feelings for and about each other. You also showed Rukia's sense of loneliness and uncertainty.

Ehhhh?! Byakuya has the same mark as Rukia?! Yikes! What about Hisana? What was her mark? No matter how many times I watch or read the scene where Rukia is taken back to Soul Society, I tear up. She's just so damn fucking selfless...Anyways, can't wait to find out why Byakuya and Rukia have the same mark.

This is a beautiful start to a hilarious yet sweet and angsty story. So far so good, you are rocking the soulmate trope and I can't wait to hear more about it. Uryu is a great comic relief and yet somehow manages to be the angstiest of them all. Orihime's secret mark was a lovely twist and I can't wait for everyone to become steadily convinced Ichigo and Rukia have matching mark only to learn that no, they have complete opposites, but then again opposites attract and maybe this mark business is more about complementarity than copy pasting a pretty design. Maybe the flower goes with the tiger because such a fragile being can soothe the beast's ferocity and benefit from a strong protector. Raindrops on the other hand are rarely seen alone and gain strength in numbers. The sun has plenty of satellites and makes one of the most astonishing shows when crescent moon fades to dark moon and overlaps during an eclipse. Ok, I'm whipped by this story and hope to read more of it soon!
