Consider this a request NOT to do a Saph/Hiccup oneshot. Hiccup and Astrid should never be paired with anyone but each other.

To DarkDust27: Hiccup is really,really lucky to have Astrid. Not only, in canon, has she saved him repeatedly (and vice versa) but she is both intelligent and has a strong sense of loyalty. In addition, she is different enough from Hiccup to balance out areas where he is somewhat deficient-like being too trustworthy, fool hardy and sure of himself (Hiccup does the same for Astrid which makes them stronger as a couple than they each are as individuals.). Also, Hiccup has a tendency to be a "Lone Ranger" which often gets him and others into trouble which Astrid does her best to counter this tendency both through words and presence. Even in the first movie, Astrid has always been honest with Hiccup (except when Heather persuaded her not to tell Hiccup about her "double agent" status) telling him what he NEEDS to hear rather than what he wants to hear (If Astrid hadn't kicked started Hiccup out of his bout of self-pity in HTTYD1, he could well have been still standing on the cliff looking out to sea feeling sorry for himself while his father and the rest of Berks warriors were killed by the Red Death.). Finally, and, most importantly, Astrid and Hiccup are best friends as well as lovers. Astrid doesn't deserve Hiccup . . . I beg to differ for the above given reasons.

Constrictive criticism: Saphira is becoming a Mary Sue without a true personality.
Personal comment: I'm getting serious doubts about Saphira's amnesia.

Interesting story..to be honest in this story I would like to see hiccup end with the oc..even if she is a dragon...while I like astrid sometimes I want to see her without hiccup because he deserves better

I'm not really much of a Hiccup/Astrid shipper. I mean I like both characters individually but not together. I'm definitely starting to ship Hiccup/Saphira though! :3
