I think for many people the Pertemis ship is a form of fantasy, an idea of Percy being just that speshul, and those stories can be fun.

But you, you have gone far beyond those stories, to craft a true romance. The only equivalent Pertemis I can think of is perhaps Gambit’s Refrain. Naught else is as amazing as this. I shall continue to follow your work avidly.

Extremely original, very well paced, no out-of character. Artemis not falling heads over heels within 2 days. Long, drawn out and dramatic. Very, very well done so far. You have a way with words man, very well done. Glad I found it and binge-read it.

The one thing I am not really convinced of are those other pantheons. It is just something that I ship personally because this would really limit the power the Gods of Olympus actually have and if each region have their own myths...

But not to take away from the phenomenal piece of art you produced. I gladly wait for another chapter, I hope Artemis will find the happiness she so obviously desires.

Objectively you've written a long story, 150K words, and still not over. And yet after reading it over 2 days it felt so short. Reminds me of how 12 years on campaign can seem so short to a certain goddess of the hunt.

So as a Simple Pilgrim to a Simple Author, I'll give you my thoughts on your story.

I really liked the dual timeline approach. Only having the story of the past would be rather unsatisfying in the current form. It would be a real tragedy, of Artemis finding love and being heartbroken without hope for the rest of time. I don't think I could read that story, it would just leave a bad taste in my mouth. I need hope for that happy ending.

The Perseus reborn idea is what is giving me that hope right now, and I hope we can get to that part of the story as soon as possible. Of course it wouldn't be interesting if Artemis throws herself at teenage Percy, but in my ideal world I can see how the future develops. How meeting Artemis at titan's curse might awaken some feelings in Percy he never experienced before, and he hangs out with the hunt more than he did in canon. This prevents him from falling for annabeth, which in this story would just be an absolute gut-punch so please don't punish us that way.

It would be nice for him to regain his memories at some point, but I would want it to be after the events of the titan war, or the giant war, whichever you prefer. I think it would also be more genuine if Artemis had already fallen for him again, not just after he regains the memories.

While I am very excited for the future of Perseus in the path, him truly losing faith in the east, fighting bactrians and Indians for no reason other than because Alexander could, then returning to Babylon for that final betrayal... I am still more excited for the modern story.

Up to this point, the story of the past has been, in my opinion, far more interesting. The reaction of the various hunters was sorted out long ago, and I feel like I know them well enough, that the story could shift its focus almost entirely to Artemis x Percy, past and present, without losing anything. Now that we are approaching Titan's curse, the present will surpass the past in interest and tension and entertainment. We already vernally know how things will go, but the future is unknown, uncertain, untamed, and unbound. I really can't wait to see how it goes. I have read this story in just a few sittings, so having to endure long waits for updates will be near unbearable, but I am entirely confident that the tale you craft will be worth my time.

I apologize if you already said this and I missed it but, will Artemis and Percy eventually get together?

As a diehard Pertemis fan, I can say you are doing an awesome job writing this story, I love it. I have a few theory question/hypotheses or thoughts. First, I can see this playing out generally in two ways: 1) Percy ends up with Artemis, or 2) Percy ends up with Annabeth, like canon. Second, by the chance that Percy and Artemis end up together finally, is the story going to follow canon and Artemis falls for Percy (the reincarnated) over again? Or is there a chance this reincarnated Percy retains some, if not all, characteristics of his Alexandrian self and, or gets his memories back by either some lucky way, through dreams, or drinking gorgons blood as in The Son of Neptune. Sorry for the long rant/hypothesis, but keep up the great work and though I want to progress further in the story, don’t feel like you need to rush it.

God this story is so good! I mean I’m so super excited to see the reunion of Artemis and Perseus but the buildup to it is nothing short of amazing as well. I just have so many questions that this story is about to address and I’m so ready for this next chapter of this story! Best of luck with writing!

Another good chapter. I’m excited that Titan’s Curse stuff is getting closer. That makes a lot of sense, Hades placing Nico and Bianca in Maine because the long presence of the Hunt there is keeping the monsters scared away.

Absolutely wonderful chapter! I really enjoy this story. I am a huge history fan, majoring in Greek antiquity. I am also a huge percy and Artemis fan for them being together. Artemis has always been my favorite Greek goddess. I will always remember the day I found this story and started reading it. I got the call for a kidney transplant and on the drive to the hospital is when I started. This story brought so much joy during my recovery process. I read it multiple times waiting for next update. I look forward to more from the future!
