If this is just a friendship fluff thing, why do you have them marked as a pairing in the character tags?

Anyway, I agree, poor Roma doesn't get enough love. Hell, he is never even called Italy by anyone. Even his own brother calls himself Italy, while Romano is just Romano. It's like they forget he's Italy too. Veneziano, I don't really know why he does it when he knows he only has the Northern part, hence the name North Italy/Italia Veneziano.

I wouldn't be surprised if Roma took anti-despresents because of the treatment he gets.

As for the story, while its a nice short fluff of friendship, I can't really say its IC. Romano only spoke to Canada once in canon (this was when Canada asked about how he got independence.). He's more friends with America (as he did live with him for some time in canon, and text each other in canon. Chapters featuring the industrial revalution and America's elections.). They don't hang out apart from that question. Romano did have a pretty friendly conversation with Iceland during the Halloween party of 2013. It was really cute.

Back on point, while I understand how people may see the possible friendship connection there, given their similar situations, it's hard to see given they don't spend time together apart from when Canada was going around asking about independence from other countries. No offense.
