My God, poor Holmes XD

"Peace returned to the flat once more." Haha, not exactly! Now with Holmesie sick, it's two more weeks of chickenpox duty. Good thing they're all immune now. Savage move of Iris making Gregson foot Ryunosuke's hospital bill. Looks like he won't be getting fish n chips for a while.

Ahhhh, that tease at the end. Well honestly, I think it couldn't have been a more perfect ending. Nice chapter, this whole story was written nicely. I hope you continue to write another DGS fic, whether it be about Ryunosuke (I think that would be interesting) or Ryusato (I think that would be cute too). See you next time around, friend!

With this fanfic done, and one fanfic almost done and another still being worked on, I'm wondering if it's hard writing three sickfics at once. Although I have a question would you be opposed to me writing a sickfic where someone is diagnosed with bronchitis, some symptoms are more recognizable then others. If I do a bronchitis one it's most likely going to be a Mario story unless someone else says otherwise, although I'd like to get some ideas first. As far as the measles one, you should try to incorporate a caretaker in somewhere. Caretakers are an essential part of any sickfic.

Huh, I can understand those complications but ugh, it sucks that it would happen to Ryu. Shit luck started with him, and now it runs through the family. 120 years can't even undo the damage 8D (Sorry, Phoenix. Blame your ancestor.)

As strange as it sounds, I really like how you describe him in this scene as sounding like a five year-old when he has his panic attacks. It makes sense, since he had to get a shot when he was five, and he's been afraid of doctors ever since. So now when he finds himself in a hospital setting, the panic attacks get to the point where he "reverts" back to his five year old self. Very clever. At least he's getting that new, powerful drug that knocks patients right out! Just as long as he didn't drink coffee beforehand...oh how terrifying would that be for him, being awake for his appendectomy.

I just saw a few typos, like in the beginning "withing" should be "within." Other than that, nice job. See you next chapter where Ryu can hopefully start to heal up now!

Aww I feel so bad for Ryuunosuke now, poor baby!

Oh, the poor thing. Having nightmares and now his fever is making him delirious (but it got Susato to cuddle with him for the night, so that's a plus!)

I remember something about him being afraid of the dark, but I don't recall if he's always had that fear, or he developed it after that...incident in Case 2 (having to hide in a dark closet and then everything else that followed probably traumatized him). Still, I think you did well incorporating it into the fic. With Ryu already not being in a right state of mind from his fever, his fears just made it much worse (freakin Wagahai) At least Susato was there to make it all better, and the two had a special moment together. That was a pretty clever reason with her dad, which would explain why his health is compromised in game. I'm looking forward to see what goes down in next chapter when Ryu starts to get better, and then he can focus on important things (like Susato. That kiss wasn't just for nothing!)

I don't really have much to say in terms of criticism, so I'll see you next chapter. Keep it up!

Oddly enough, I can just see this scene taking place all too perfectly. More so with Susato and Iris asking Holmes to watch Ryu, and he gladly accepts just to take the opportunity to utterly troll his guest. The water fight was hilarious. But now they have to clean up afterwards (worth it). Even still, that probably won't be the last of their shenanigans so long as Holmes is involved. I imagine flying rubber duckies and towel fights.

I spent so much time trying to figure out who Hudson was. Like I don't remember a Hudson in DGS. Then I remembered, Oh! Mrs. Hudson the landlady! Nice little homage to Sherlock Holmes :D Looking forward to the next chapter (and the Ryusato ship sets sails).

Let the records show that it takes a grown man, a teenager, and a 10-year-old to hold Ryunosuke down and give him his medicine. At least he was more cooperative the second time around. But yikes, the next two weeks are going to be just as rough for the others as it is for Ryunosuke. God help them all.

Nice deduction made by Iris. So Gregson right now is a suspicious candidate, thinking he wasn't contagious but he could have been. Also, I didn't know that about Shingles. You learn something new everyday. I also heard chickenpox can be serious for young adults, but Ryunosuke is receiving great care from Iris, so hopefully there shouldn't be anything to worry about...aside from getting yelled at by Susato whenever he tries to scratch :P

I don't really have much to say on this chapter. You wrote it nicely, I hardly saw any mistakes. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to the next one.

I kind of agree, although in my opinion both flu and chickenpox make good sickfic illnesses. I have not as much experience with writing someone with chicken pox but I agree not enough chickenpox fics. Although if you do some ace attorney fanfics in the future, I don't see too many Athena focused sickfics. Maybe make her catch measles or something or whatever disease you think is good.

Ouch, I'm cringing. Not because of the fic- your writing is brilliant- but because of Ryu's predicament. I said it once, I'll say it again for good measure: poor, poor Naruhodou. He'll be scratching Wagahai's back bare before the two weeks are over, I'm sure.

I don't really have a lot of complaints to mention. You write really well, just be sure to proofread your work as I spotted a couple grammatical errors, but nothing too resounding. Everyone seems to be in character, though to be honest I felt Susato was a little too bossy. But maybe that's because she's just really concerned for Ryu. Now I'm wondering just where he could have contracted such an illness from, if he's been around anyone sick recently. I said that Holmes can't catch an illness because he is the GREAT DETECTIVE...but it would be really ironic and funny if he did.

But skimming the chapter, this looks rather interesting. Your first official fanfic, you say? Well, you seem to write pretty well. And chicken pox? Ugh...this brings back awful memories...many a night spent in silent, agonizing suffering, being quarantined in my room...and the oatmeal baths...(okay, it wasn't really that bad). I can only imagine how poor Ryu feels. Hopefully he doesn't pass it onto little Iris or Susato. Sherlock is too badass to contract anything.
