So good, this genuinely brought me to tears and that's pretty rare for me. It's clear that you understand the characters Lorelai and Luke really well: their behaviours, motivations, intricacies. Probably the best fanfic I've read about them. Very glad that you tied it in perfectly with the original series and AYITL, so thoroughly believable. Great work.

What charmed me most was that they were clsoest to expressing their feelings when stuck with *others*... As if "none at all" was what it took to force them to realize what they wanted... but then they'd settle for that "half-loaf of bread" so to speak... until the next upheaval. It *almost* fixes everything ASP made wrong, and that is a high compliment!

It isn't always the words (but words are definitely needed for clear communication), but it also the actions. They see each other and they understand each other because they KNOW each other so well.
