This is how it should have gone in canon. No "chest monsters" for Harry, no pining for Ron for years for Hermione as she put up with all of his crap, no "Ways to Charm Witches" book as a present from Ron to Harry, no out-of-the-blue snog-fests because Ron suddenly remembers that Hermione cares about house elves and that's enough to get Hermione to make out with him, no wondering when Ron's going to stick his foot in his mouth again and still somehow attract a beautiful, intelligent woman like Hermione, etc... just this. I've already ranted about the Ron/Hermione romance/inexplicable long-term marriage with kids today, so I'll spare you the rest of that.

In short, I enjoyed this very much.

Short, sweet, and gives an end to the never ending frustration I've had in canon when I wanted to shout, "JUST KISS HER, IDIOT!" Thanks. I feel a lot better now.

Very well written and extremely cute. A believable way for the two characters to diverge from canon. I have always thought the Cho infatuation was asinine, and Cho was completely replaceable by a medley of other witches. Hermione isn't though. She is a one of a kind character and more more suited for Harry.
