I don't trust Ron at all. I think something's going on here.

Good to see an update to this. Adult things do tend to keep one busy; glad you find the time to write at all.

It's hard to know where the story is going, which is not a bad thing. Is Shego on the up and up, or does she have ulterior motives? The bar seems awful scared of her. Kim may be too young to know that people are more than one thing. Ron is friends with the bartender he knows, and may never have seen the side of the bartender that would drug a young girl. Or maybe Shego's making that up? Who knows? We'll find out. Ron, at least, seems to be completely what he seems to be on the surface.

I like the bit about Kim going to church. I was surprised that her family were not regular attendees at a church, but I don't know enough about the time and place to know if that would be unusual.

I am surprised to see Ron, but more surprised to like seeing him. It is good for Kim to have a friend besides Shego, me thinks. To give her different points of view and support when Shego isn't around.

Tbh this is going much smoother than I thought Kim's stay at the city would be. Shego has lied to Kim many times I suppose, I assume more because the reality is complicated to explain and make others understand than Shego is willing go go through. I like how Kim's obliviousness makes me story mysterious to the point of being frustrating, but a good frustration, the one that makes you curious. Keep the good work.

Oh, as an important note, I am glad to see Christianity in a favorable light. It is a tad rare in certain circles and just seeing it makes me happy.

I just came across this story and I really like what I've read, your attention to historical detail has been quite good.
Somehow I managed to miss Kim's age somewhere along the line and I got super confused as to why she was taking so long to figure certain things out (like understanding basic safety and awareness from going from a small town to a big city) and then I saw a mention that she's only fourteen and I felt like an idot for glossing over a detail that I'm sure has been mentioned more than once lol!
I am practically champing at the bit for Kim to decipher the Journal. It must be written in some sort of code or possibly an obscure language ( if its a code I'm sure there is a clue somewhere on the first page since it was written in plain english).

I am happy to see a new chapter. Please continue writing this story. Take the time you need.

No apologies needed, do what you can to get this finished. No matter how long it takes. And good luck getting that master's degree, you deserve it. Also keep up the great work.

Please, as if! I jumped to read the chapter as soon as I saw the update. A bit short, but I'm curious, so every bit counts! I don't know if we should trust bookseller man, but at least he looks okay. I like that, despite everything, Kim doesn't regret it. She does constantly remind herself why she took this decision and I think that's a good, natural thing. Thank you for the update! Whatever pace is fine!

It's great to see an update on this. I'm sure most of us understand life intruding on writing.

I'm a little surprised that Kim didn't think to note her whereabouts when she went to the bookstore. One of her goals is to learn her way around the city. But she is fourteen, after all, and it's a big city.

The bit about there being no library feels like foreshadowing to me. Shego has been telling lies to Kim, at least once. Why?

I don't have a lot to say about the chapter. It's well-written, the mechanics are good. Shego finding Kim at the church is a little serendipitous, and feels contrived. Otherwise I think it's a solid addition to the story.

I don't recall Shego having a good reason for bringing Kim along on this adventure. Kim doesn't seem to worry or wonder about it, but I do. Is Shego just doing it to thumb her nose at the Possibles, taking them as avatars of the society she despises? Or is it Kim herself? Kim certainly has some desire for Shego (there was a bit about wanting to kiss her at one point), but we haven't seen much evidence of reciprocation. The developing relatonship is even more interesting to me than the adventures the ladies have.

Loving this entire story so far enjoyed it so much I read it all at once can't wait to see what happens next with Kim and shego

Very happy to see that this story got a new chapter. Kim really has no idea what the real world is like. Poor Kim. Shego will really have to educate her.

So the person really is Lipsky and Kim hasn't asked anything yet! I had assumed he would be there too, but apparently that's not the case.

I find it very interesting Kim didn't question for once the fact Shego implied she would be a prostitute if it wasn't for the gossip. I mean, it implies... other things that do trouble Kim.

I hope Kim won't get in trouble.

i wonder if you will have them fight in the war. and either for the confederacy (i hope you read your history and know the real history of the civil war and not the "politically correct" points of view as in the South was bad and the North was good but go off real history) or the union.
That would make an interesting adventure for kim and shego. Also, if you have them become officers, that would show kims family how much better off her own life is rather than spending it at home to be a "proper lady"

The road adventure is over but now they are in Atlanta. Can't wait for the next chapter.
