I think this may have been one of the fics I made my FF account for, solely so I could favourite it. :)

I love the opening scene, with Tintin asleep. I love it when Haddock gives him the key and then asks Nestor if they have a spare. XD I love seeing Haddock worried for Tintin and save him from that attacker. And the last scene with Haddock finally seeing him as his son was lovely as well.

This story has such a quiet tone, and it's so tender. I love the focus you placed on the father and son relationship. I've read this several times now, and will continue to read it in the future.

Just love these family/friendships fics between the captain and Tintin, you did a great job here, I really think you wrote them quite well they weren’t too occ at all.

Adorable family fluff is never unwanted here! I think it's nicely in character though I confess a soft spot for protective Haddock. I look forward to anything else you have in the works

I really like fics that really show Haddock as a fatherlike figure to Tintin. "And I got you know" and the whole last scene was a really nice way to wrap your short story up and was honestly very beautiful. The whole story was very good too! Thank you for writing and sharing!

Not only am I sucker for the father/son relationship between Haddock and Tintin, but I greatly appreciate just how accurately you write for them. You've got their voices down pat and everything... :3 Plus, you captured the Captain's protectiveness quite well, along with Tintin's sweet innocence (he does seem child-like at times, doesn't he? *smirk*).

aaAHH I love this. So much. Wow! Where do I begin? Absolutely nothing struck me as OOC. On the contrary, you have Tintin and the Captain's relationship down perfectly: in the Captain's gentle insistence that Tintin move in with him, and his feelings of protectiveness and worry regarding Tintin's tendency to get himself into dangerous situations. I especially loved the Captain's moment of realization in the beginning, watching Tintin's face in sleep - that for all of his self-assuredness and maturity, Tintin is still very young. That was such a sweet moment.

I really, really hope that you do write a multi chapter fic - with your deft grasp of Tintin and the Captain's connection, I think it'd be one that I would LOVE to read! (Also, History of Journalism? Dang, I want to take that class!) Anyways, here's hoping that you can post more Tintin soon - I'll be on the lookout!

Ah, this was so wonderful to read on a Friday evening! I loved this! It was so well-written and thoughtful. I especially loved the little moments sprinkled throughout that show us how young Tintin is compared to Haddock, such as drawing on the frost-covered windows (I still occasionally do that). I hope you continue to write more for this fandom!
