I wish these two were shipped more often. I love this one-shot, it is cute! You made me think of Victor as someone with depth, which I don't ever think I have before. I will now think of him as this Victor whenever I read him somewhere else. Thank you for opening my eyes!

This is a fantastic character study of Viktor. I love how you really explored his seeming resentment of his fame, but showed how he tried to act nobly to his fans regardless. Showing his very real, average insecurities (Does she like me? Does she not?) turned him into a well-rounded, real character. I also loved the voice you use for Viktor. It's a little bit inconsistent, but it's overall it's very well done. I think it captured his cadence of speech and his un-Englishness perfectly. Viktor's crush on Hermione is really very sweet. You do a great job of highlighting their age-difference and levels of experience. Swoon for Hermione's first kiss. *fans myself* THAT make out scene. Viktor's jealousy is annoying, but it highlights that he's maybe more into her than she is into him. The final scene is really powerful. It shows Viktor as a caring and understanding person, with insight that goes beyond his age. Even more, it shows us how hard it is to be Hermione, and reveals the insecurities that she doesn't allow Ron and Harry to often see. BTW, I love that you rarely use Hermione's name throughout the whole piece. It reinforces his infatuation for this strange girl who maybe doesn't like him quite as much.
