No Perzoe?
Guest chapter 7 . 4/19/2019
Awesome story! Love the concept of Percy and Thalia growing up as siblings on Olympus, and I would enjoy seeing how you transition the characters into the Heroes of olympus Series.

MasterTrident chapter 10 . 5/1/2017
I think you might need to re-read TLO and reasses Percy and Thalia's power after bathing in the Styx. It wasn't so much that they had "unlimited energy" in combat, it was that he had extremely sharpened senses to the point where the speed at which others fought was so slow when compared to his, that his mind imagines him fighting at normal speed while everything else seemigly moved in slow motion. Sure he may not be quite as powerful yet as he is in TLO because he's only 12 in your story, but that only really affects power that he inherits. The Styx doesn't grow stronger with time: it simply refines the senses and reflexes, dulls pain, grants invulnerability, and causes the body to burn up energy like there's no tommorow. There is no way in Hell Annabeth could hold her own against him for minutes — nevermind 2 hours (unless he is toying of course). Remember, right after he received the curse in TLO he utterly decimated Hades's Army and was in a position to where he could threaten Hades. Given that he's even stronger in your story it make little sense that all he seeme to gain in this chapter was invulnerability and a tendency to get exhausted quickly.

I never really got Riordan's choice of placing Luke's point below the armpit. Perhaps the left armpit might not necessarily be so bad depending on circumstances, but the right armpit is a terrible idea. The left arm holds the shield which could be justification for placing it on the left armpit 6 inches down, while the right arm carries the sword or spear (the spear was the Greeks' primary weapon). Greek swords did not have crossguards so that just leads to a weak defence on the right side of his body. The right side of the body is pretty much exposed to a quick jab. You couldn't even flip the shield to protect that side — Greek shield were strapped to the arm, unlike Roman or Viking shields which were centre-grip (that's another point — with a Greek shield one cannot simply choose to throw it like a frisbee at moment's reaction because the shield was strapped to the arm. It'd be like actually attempting "End Him Rightly" in a life or death situation. Also shield bases with Greek shields are rather ineffectual — a youtuber called ThegnThrand conducted tests of Centre-grip vs strapped shields as attacking implements.) By placing his Achilles Heel under the right armpit he's exposing himself a great deal — especially considering the armpit is one area where soldiers were taught to aim at because it was often unarmoured (though not as far as six inches below the armpit). Placing it there basically forces Percy to don a cuirass of some sort which defeats the purpose of being invulnerable.
