I have to say though, every chapter has a sense of dread about it. I get the feeling this whole incident has to do with Bram, and it’s not good. However, I’m excited to see you mentioning werewolves because I’ve always wondered what the story is about Caius. Who attacked him and why. So I’m hoping you add that.
So do the Romains feed their enemies to werewolves? That’s pretty grim, but it seems to fit them perfectly. And as always, I’m very curious to see what Aro is up too.

Wow, just wow! This is such a powerful scene. I think you’ve captured so wonderfully the power of Aro’s dark seduction. Liliana knows exactly what he is, but she doesn’t care anymore. She may feel this way only because her other choice is Mircea, and she despises him, but I think her desire is real. I love the line, “I only ask that I do not see your masks.” She knows Aro is the Master of Deception, and now he knows she knows it too. It’s very cool. I always think of Aro showing his true self when his voice drops, and of course, you added that. Now I'm wondering what Aro is planning to do with Bram. Please keep writing. I just love this story.

That’s a great line. I have to say, I really like Didyme in this story. She seems like the epitome of grace, and she’s effortlessly compassionate. I suppose in many ways, Aro has this grace too.

Speaking of Aro, I’m sure that he is going to steal Liliana away. But then I saw in your summary that Sulpicia was going to be in this story. And then I remembered Liliana admiring Sulpicia’s poetry, which I assume is a reference to the Roman Poet. This made me wonder if Liliana would eventually become Sulpicia. I know, it’s a crazy idea, but it did cross my mind.

I’m so happy to see you writing again. Wow, two chapters! That’s great.

Seriously, I just love the way you write. Little things like, “A gesture from Mircea, unseen by my own eyes, sent the demon’s head rolling comically past me.” Anybody else would just write, Mircea ripped the guards head off. But no, you show it differently. You just describe the detached head rolling by, which actually says a great deal more. It shows how smooth Mircea is and how silent he is, ripping the guards head off so fast, Liliana didn’t even know about it until it was done. Of course, he’s a vampire, so I’m sure he moved very fast, but it was a very nice touch.

There was another line I loved. “The scattered flames were cradled in wax, casting ominous shadows across the room.” I think it’s so cool because it shows how late at night this is taking place. Of course, this fits, since the last few chapters have all been on the same night, and this reminds the reader of that.

Anyway, though, I love the chapter. I’m worried about what Mircea might do to convince Liliana to be with him. Although, he must know that she would leave if he changed her. But then again maybe not. Are vampires more sympathetic to the sire that made them?

And what about Aro. I’m sure he heard Liliana with all the commotion. Is he planning something? We know already that he’s rather devious.

Anyway, I’m going to go read the next chapter.
