Love your story, I really hope it's not abandoned. It's the first time I willingly read a Delena story and I don't regret it even though I despite this couple in canon.

Seriously cried for Enzo, and happy that he feels like he belongs somewhere.
Elena calling him 'Uncle Enzo' seems reasonable since he only saw baby pictures of her and heard about her a lot from Grayson.

So, I did read your note on your bio page about losing motivation for this fic, and I completely understand. The plot bunnies want what the plot bunnies want. But, I noticed that you have been updating other fics on this site, particularly Marvel ones of late. Because of that, I was hoping that this hiatus of lack of motivation for this fic might be just a temporary one? I mean, obviously you don't owe anything to us as readers, but this fic in particular is so good that it would be a right shame if this were a permanent hiatus. Do you think that you might get back your motivation for it at some point? Even if it's not now, or even soon, I would still like to read more of it whenever you get around to it, if you ever get around to it. I particularly love Enzo and of course Damon/Elena (do I sense a reconciliation on its way?) and I really like the idea of non-ripper!Stefan. All the characters (save Richard Lockwood ughhhhh) are really worming their ways into my heart.

I recently decided to re-watch TVD, after starting Legacies and being utterly disappointed in the show. (Although it does have its good moments and I’m watching it more for the nostalgia) And it reminded me of this fic! I think I found it about a year ago and just blew through it. Sooo I decided to re-read it and I love it the second time just as much as the first.

I can’t express how much I love this. That one teeny event could change the whole story line. Everyone is in character and Elena’s parents have become some of my favorites. I know I mentioned in my last review that I love that everyone is alive, especially Anna. And that Enzo is part of the story much, much sooner. I remember that you responded and said that, at least for the time being, you’re not interested in writing this story anymore. I completely get that. I just wanted to let you know that this fic made a lasting impression and I still think it’s wonderful. I hope you’re doing well!

Amazing story! I just binged the entire thing in the last few days after being hit with a wave of nostalgia for the vampire diaries! I love the way you’ve written Elena with her parents still alive. Definitely all in character. And of course, Damon is my absolute favorite character and you nailed him. The way you wrote Enzo being accepted by the Gilbert’s and feeling like he belongs totally rugged on my heartstrings. While I’d love to see this story completed eventually, I still really love what you’ve already written! I’m off to go check out your other fics! :)

Seriously this fanfic series has been the most compelling writing I’ve ever experienced. I haven’t been able to put either books down. The way you can bring a scene to life it feels like I’m actually seeing it with my own eyes. You are an incredible author and I really hope you find the passion to continue this series in the future. Lord knows I’m dying too see what happens next from just Elena not having her phone powers and Damon deciding not to compel her how insanely different things could of played out. A

That entire chapter was incredible and so awesome to get a frost hand account of what happened between Mikeal and the Gilbert’s when Elena was first discovered to be a doppelgänger. You have done it SUCH a justice!

I know you haven’t updated in a while but this is such a good story! I do really hope you continue
