The idea is doable, the only problem with it is you described everybody as helping eachother. With human nature as it is, helping like that is impossible, most people are greedy and would only help if they gain something out of it.
Another problem would be a war with a minor race, seeing as minor race would simply be erased from existance by a group of hackers like that. They would have advanced tothe point where they are their own technology.
So with humans evolving in a world like that, the advancement of technology and even theories would expand exponentailly as more and more poeple get access to data, which in itself would create a loop that increases data that they gain access to. In essencce... the human as we know it would simply not survive the amount of data being tossed around in a world like that.

Interesting, your idea seems to have a transhuman or maybe a slight posthuman vibe, I could see a lot of humans living in some sort of virtual reality and then simply controlling or uploading their minds into some sort of mobile platform (like the geth) for doing things in the real world.

I have to wonder if AI's would be apart of this humanity, because as I understand it the human brain is by at leave an order of magnitude greater than any computer today .

I really like the idea of humanity fighting with remote controlled mechs/fighters/ships (why risk lives when you can make war a game) And in the long term it make better economical sense to use a repairable/recyclable drone instead of a human that can injered or killed.

The only thing I see as a problem is first contact. For humans to be a force to be grudgingly respected, the first contact war needs to happen the way it does in universe, with humanity barely holding off the Turians and then only just winning.

Anyway I kinda hope someone takes inspiration from yourself, I would but I'm terrible at finishing any writing I start.

This sounds interesting. Just a suggestion, though, about the soldiers of this world. I think a better example would be the movie Surrogates from 2009 with Bruce Willis. It's basically a world where people only really interact through robots that they control. Look it up if you want more detail

I see this idea looks interesting but the all humans are hacker idea needs to be change like making half of the human population are hackers while the other half are programmers creating the best security system to stop the hackers from hacking other computers or tech making it complement each other and make it that it's a tradition to them and a shadow war is also nice since the all out war seems to be boring this days
