Reviews for Such A Creature
Rosalieemmamailie chapter 1 . 7/26
Interesting take on Anne's situation!
Roman chapter 1 . 9/25/2017
Interesting premise. I wish you would follow it through since I imagined that being always told she was destined for her cousin caused her to just sit around and waited for that event. It's like how some children of really accomplished people become useless adults always struggling to live up to who their parents are.
SeraNeko-chan chapter 1 . 7/13/2017
It's such a different take on the usual sickly!Anne prompt and I absolutely love it! I would love to see it worked out further!
pigtails913 chapter 1 . 7/9/2017
Ooh, that's a fresh take on both of them and their relationship. Well done and thanks for sharing!
Jansfamily4 chapter 1 . 6/7/2017
No wonder she wants to dump her daughter onto Darcy. I have never seen Anne this way. I have always thought of her more of a victim of her mother. It would be fun to see where this goes.
MaraSkywhiner chapter 1 . 4/2/2017
I enjoyed this take. I'd love to read the resulting full story if it morphs into one!
CatherineWendell chapter 1 . 2/26/2017
Fascinating! I'd love to read more about this Lady C.
royal-cobalt chapter 1 . 2/26/2017
What an interesting take on Lady Catherine and her daughter, and completely plausible. I would love to see you expand on this.
Guest chapter 1 . 2/26/2017
Love it.
m.hill chapter 1 . 2/26/2017
Very promising!
csad21 chapter 1 . 2/26/2017
Now *this* is a very different take on the issue. Love it! Because Anne has absolutely no dialogue, and we don't know if Elizabeth's judgement of Anne is accurate, what with it being unreliable narrator, there are a million and one ways to interpret her character and circumstances (such as, "is she really sick?"), and every one of them always very interesting and enjoyable.

But this take on the issue could easily become my favourite. It gives Anne a bit colour, and gives Lady C a reason for her insistence on D/A other than mercenary in nature.

I would love to see the greater work you are imagining for this little ficlet. :)
wosedwew chapter 1 . 2/26/2017
A different angle on Lady Catherine!
Ancalagon chapter 1 . 2/26/2017
I enjoyed this. It's fun to see more sympathetic portrayals of Lady Catherine. For all her faults, I have always thought of her as someone for whom pride acts as a goad to be generous with those below her.

It makes sense that she would want her daughter to be the very best, and I can easily see her perhaps asking more of her daughter than she was willing to give, particularly when she can simply skive off with her father's compliance.
phyloxena chapter 1 . 2/26/2017
Nice. Sounds rather likely, actually. I can just imagine this Catherine making peace with Darcys just to be able to give her most excellent advice on raising their daughters (she will never let be known the reason, and they will both ignore her entirely. Only Jane could guess what's going on here, but the great lady will never be enough in company of that tradesman' son's wife.)
Doris212 chapter 1 . 2/26/2017
This is a completely new angle. Good reading. Thank you.
