How sweet, Usagi knows when Mamoru is in problems (sort of), and can find him if she wanders. I really like that idea. That Mamoru and Usagi will wander aimlessly and end up finding each other.

Communication is overvalued or what's the problem with Mamoru? I like how you write his cause of distress was noticing his girlfriend is a way to young to be troubled by a serious romance, but that ship sailed pretty much since she went to the Pole North to save him.

Usagi being happy with the ring being just a present is pretty sweet too.

Can I just tell you how much I'd love to see this become a series? I always felt like their need to be more closure for them after Stars. The needed to come back together after an event that would clearly change them so much. We never got that in canon. I love that there is some of that here.

I can't help but re-read this three part story over and over again sometimes. It's so good, who wouldn't re-read it again?! I loved this post Stars AU story. It fits the relationship of Usagi and Mamoru completely, and just shows their love for another along with their emotions so well. Well done Antigone2, this is why you are one of my favorite authors/writers in moonie fan fiction fandom.

I can't even imagine the feelings that Usagi must have felt when Mamoru came back. Having to reconcile that his absence and lack of communication wasn't simply because he didn't want her anymore, but because he'd been DEAD. That's heavy, heavy shit, and this little chapter is so plausible after an event like that!

I love that Luna is so understanding. Going out in the middle of the night just to try to bring Usagi some peace of mind, and I can just imagine her simply shaking her head when the little rabbit wanders off in the middle of the night to find Mamoru.

But wow. When she gets him back to his apartment, and she asks him if they still fit? Heart Break City. I think that's such a powerful reminder that even though, yes, these two are the Miracle Romance, they're still human. Still have insecurities. Still need reassurances.

God, the FEELS in this.

I love sweet, babbling, so in love, drunk Mamoru so, so much, and this describes his need and love for her perfectly. How with that one little additive of alcohol, his inhibitions fall away, and everything spills out. You laid both of their insecurities bare, here, and they BOTH break my heart.

You write both of these characters amazingly well. I struggle with Usagi quite often, but you always, always get her 'right.' And that's incredibly obvious, here, where she's still the strong, loving Usagi everyone knows and adores, but she's also allowed to be vulnerable and have fears.

It should legitimately be a CRIME that this fic doesn't have more reviews. A CRIME.

I'm not sure if you ever plan on continuing this little series, but I can't tell you how much I hope you do.

So many people, including myself, have touched on the briefest of aftermaths of Mamoru's return from the dead, but give so little thought to how difficult the day to day must have been for the two of them to become readjusted.

I love this 'solution' to the was it or wasn't it an engagement ring. I've always believed it to be one, because I don't see Mamoru giving it with any intention other than that, but I can TOTALLY see him playing it down because of Usagi's age, not wanting to scare her with the depth of his need for her.

This is so beautifully done, and it makes my heart ache every time.
