Great flow and story!

Good story. With the Edict, Thranduil started to move on or perhaps admitted to himself that he needed to move on, Tauriel being one of the few who could exit him of his melancoly, it's possible he was a jerk with her because he feel some attraction for her and feel like he betrayed his late wife. Their two broken hearts and Tauriel's gentle healing also helped him. I understand better his hostility toward the Dwarves if the gems belonged to his late wife.

It's also a good thing that their relationship is different, more mature because they both know grief. Like Thranduil said, he loved his wife perhaps to much and coped badly after her death. With Tauriel, he know that of she died before him, she would kick his life in the Afterlife if he let himself die out of grief and is neglecful with his kingdom and children.

Amazing story thank u it was interesting and unique.

Great story! I noticed a really funny mistake though. You used the word gladiolus when you probably meant gladdened. I have to say I had a bit of a chuckle imagining Thranduil as a flower.
