10 years is WAY too long. That's just being a weak little b*tch at that point and everyone would've moved on or tracked Ruby down YEARS ago. Yang, Qrow and possibly Tai would've tracked her butt down within a year. They would NOT have waited on her. Everybody that was important lacked aggression and were WAYYYY too passive. Yang, Qrow and Tai would've gutted Adam and fed him his nards. He would not get the luxury of being alive. Oh, and Blake would've smelt the semen of several men's, including Adam's, obviously. Yang would tie Ruby to the dorm ceiling and just wait until she broke and sang in canon.

That has got to be one of the better ones on this site I loved it good job on the semblance as well while I know you’ve ended it proper and all I would love to see a sequel story but all in all a great work

I'm also not the one who read this in an hour and a half because I quite literally couldn't drag myself away from reading it, I loved it that much.

I would 100% definitely love to see a sequel, maybe of Phoenix and Eisdra going to Beacon and having fun there. Though I'd stick away from pairing them up, that'd be too weird, even if they aren't related by blood.

Not that this needs a sequel, it was beautifully wrapped up, and the characters had absolutely solid motivations...and I've never wa-...No, I was about to say I've never wanted to punch Adam in the face so much in any other story, but then I remembered some of the stories on ArchiveOfOurOwn...oh god.

In all seriousness though, you're awesome, the story was awesome, and...in case it wasn't clear, YOU'RE AWESOME!

Thanks for giving me an hour and a half of nothing but pure...love for a story. That's now three times you've done this to me...Addiction, Matters of the Heart, and now Phoenix Rose...Each one enamoured me completely, and I couldn't stop reading them until it was over. I mean, MOTH I read in 2 and a half hours roughly, this story an hour and a half, and addiction in just above an hour, and each one was just...incredible.

And, I can already tell, just from the Summary, The Family of Ember Fall will be another incredible story to lose myself in.

I'm gushing a bit aren't I...I CAN'T HELP IT, NOR THAN I APOLOGIZE! Alright sawwy, I JUST LOVE YOUR WRITING TOO MUCH!

Re-reading this, Flora is a horrible person.

She manipulates a young woman into taking a rape pregnancy to term, refuses to offer second opinions for a medical procedure because it’s against her own personal political beliefs- which she verbally admits to - emotionally manipulates the rape victim into her personal employ because, in her words, it would “lighten her workload”, fully supports a rape victims self destructive imposed solitude and then, finally, emotionally manipulated the rape victim into keeping the rape baby even though the rape victim had already, to her knowledge, given it up for adoption and was not expecting to ever even have to see it.

Wonder how I ever thought that this OC was in any way a good character.

This was an amazing story.
